MICHEL IS NOT MICHAEL CLIFFORD! IT'S JUST ANOTHER WAY TO SPELL MITCHEL. THIS IS NOT A 5SOS FANFIC JUST A LUKE HEMMINGS AU FANFIC!
East Eagle High School.
We're nothing special. Your normal low class, urban, run down high school.
Yes, we've got gross lunches, dirty class rooms, annoyingly strict teachers- nothing out of the ordinary. Though the people here... Well thats a different story.
We have some interesting people here. Not everyone- but there are one or two that always catch my eye. First on my 'People that are just...' I honestly don't even know what to call them.
1. Shaley Woodman. This girl seems like an ordinary teenager. She has a bright smile, good group of friends, and not that bad to look at. Now I may be the only one who notices things like this but everyday she wears black. Not full out black but something is black. Black Sneakers. Black Pants. Black Headband. If she wears a black sweatshirt- even on a scolding day- she will never take it off. It's not a big deal but it is always there and you will never stop noticing it.
2. Samantha Karl. This girl really seems to have it all. She is in advanced placement classes- even after skipping the third grade. She is captain of the cheerleading team. And she is by far the prettiest girl I have seen at our school. Though she has a secret that she doesn't want anyone to know. She may think that people don't notice, and they may not, but I sure have. Every year at the begging of every year her teachers will take her out into the hall to discuss accommodations for her "disability", and every day at lunch she goes into the nurse and takes two pills and a 'granola bar'. This girl who seems so perfect to everyone- but herself. She is dyslexics and anerexic. And I may be the only one who knows.
3. Christopher Hail. With blonde hair, blue eyes, and being captain of the varsity football team, its no wonder he is a complete chick magnet. Girls attitudes will change completely when he walks by. They will flip their hair over their shoulders, get lost in his eyes, and they would do everything and anything to get his attention - but he couldn't care less. I figured that out one night when I was walking home. It was late and no one was out. Except Chris.
He was walling down the other sidewalk coming in my direction. He walked up to a pale blue two family home. He knocked on the door, and a dark haired boy stepped out.
He sighed when he saw Chris. "What are you doing here?" He asked Chris.
"I'm here to apologize. I know that I haven't good to you. I've been a complete dick actually."
I walked farther not wanting to have to talk to Chris, but when I was about to turn the corner I looked back to see Chris and the dark haired boy kissing against the boy's front door.
I couldn't believe what I had seen, or the fact Chris hadn't noticed me.
And the concludes Luke's list to East Eagle High and People that are just...
I tapped my pencil loudly on my desk. I hate to say that I am one of those people that can never concentrate on tests or quizzes unless I tap my pencil - which means annoying everyone else.
This was one of the worst quizzes. That's right, a pop quiz. I had to write some stupid essay for my writing class. It was a narrative assignment. We had to write it off some stupid poem we were to read last night, and of course I forgot.
The girl next to me was writing furiously. She really seems into it. Her was up in messy bun but a few curly pieces of her bangs came down into her eyes but she didn't give them a glance as she just kept writing.
I sat up tall and pretended to stretch while I looked over to see what she was writing.
"Jorge?" The priest said as he took a piece of lint off his shoulder. I had been working here for a very long time, yet he still pronounced my name like I was from this country.
"It is acctually pronounced a bit differently, father." I said, trying to keep my voice level so he did't sense how annoyed I was at him. I sounded it out but I knew it was no use nor was he going to remember tomorrow morning.
"Mr. Hemmings!" My teacher shrieked. She got up and walked over to me with a red face. The clicking of her heels were almost like the timer of the bomb that was Ms. Kingsley. "There are no wrong answers in this class! So why is her paper so interesting?" She picked up the blank paper on my desk. "Well, I must say anything would be more interesting than this! Would it kill you to try?" Yes.
She sighed when I didn't even look up at her. The bell rang and everyone got up and started putting their essays on her desk. I put my bag on my right shoulder and started to walked out the door.
"And Mr. Hemmings! I hope you know you have detention this afternoon!" Ms. Kingsley said, her glasses where down to the very tip of her nose. "I can't wait to see you!" The sarcasm was dripping from her tone and her smile.
I made my way to lunch. I don't think I could stand much more of her class. I didn't want to be there. I hated writing. I wish every book and author would burn. It's a firey passion.
Out of all the things I am gifted with, why must it be writing? I don't enjoy it one bit but my mother think's it might be "my calling" and practically forced me to sign up for this class.
I walked through the doors of the bustling lunch room and was greeted with the usual freezing air and musty smell. I skipped the line and sat down with my usual friends.
The food here would be pretty good compared to other school lunches... If they didn't have freezer burn, months old cheese, or was cooked properly once in a while. But you can't always get what you want in school. You practically never get what you want in school.
My boys sat in the same seats they do every week. Michel was to my left. He had been with me since I moved here early summer. We both live right next door to each other so we had bonded over football, his car, and jokes about Nela Wolfe - a girl our age across the street that had an unhealthy obsession with one direction and all things boys.
She was currently sitting across the cafeteria with her poesy - sorry her friends. They all had the same long strait hair pulled into a high pony tail. Same square nails that were a different color every week. This week was a light blue. And they always wore either skinny jeans or skirts that showed enough to make you want to see more.
"Resist the temptation dude." Michel said jokingly shaking my shoulders.
"Resist what temptation?" I played off. Shoving his hands off me and taking my phone out from my pocket.
Michel scoffed. "You'd been staring at Nela's table for the last minute and a half. I'm pretty surprised you didn't feel Kate's glare." Well I sure as hell felt it now.
Now when I said that East Eagle was your normal urban high school that did not mean it was full of that stereotypical shit. Sure Nela was a pretty girl. But just because she was popular didn't mean she was some air head blonde that slept with every guy around and was head cheerleader. In fact she was captain of the girl soccer team, had dark drown hair, and though it was common to see her making out in the hall way - it was with her boyfriend.
I can't tell you if she was smart though mostly because I only have one class with her and it happens to be gym. But also because she usually makes her hobbit do it for her. I don't mean hobbit in a bad way but I truly don't know her name. She is always around Nela and her posy but she isn't one of them.
Her hair was curly and usually put in some type of braid or bun. She wore glasses and her nails were nearly never painted. She was just the opposite of those girls but she was always seen in school with them. Though usually she was carrying their books or giving them a homework sheet to copy.
It was weird though. Everyone seemed to just except it. Maybe it was because I was new and didn't know everyone's background but it was just overlooked - even by Ms. Hobbit her self! After sitting next to her in writing I saw how smart she was. Her hand was up all the time and she was very quiet. But she was still dumb enough to not know when she was being used.
Kate was her biggest offender. She was always glaring at the poor girl, made fun of her, spilled food on her. Honestly I think it's because she is jealous. Not of the girl her self but of Nela's relationship with the girl. They may not be best friends but Nela never joins in the bullying of the hobbit from what I have seen. She even sticks up for her every now and then. Kate wants to be top priority on Nela's list and even if Kate is she still treats Hobbit like an enemy.
I quickly glance in their direction and see hobbit on Nela's right while Kate's on her left. The are all chatting and laughing while hobbit is furiously copying down what must be someone else's homework - I'm guessing Kate's.
Hobbit put her pencil down and pushed her bangs behind her ear. With a triumphed smile she handed it over to Kate. That's 10 points for brain Luke! Kate gave a fake smile and rolled her eyes. Even from here I could see Hobbit's shoulders sink a little and Nela nudge Kate in an attempt to make her apologize. Nela really didn't seem to bad.
I felt someone nudge my own shoulder. I looked and saw Michel shake his head.
"Temptation dude! Resist it!"
