She pulled the branch from the cat’s throat and laid it down on the floor. She let out a small sigh of relief and a growing smile crept across her face. She picked up the cat as it’s blood seeped into her small dress, which was still wet from the rain and her sweat. She cradled the poor beast in her arms and crooned at it tickling it’s head.
She dragged it behind her as she skipped, holding it by it’s tail.
