This time when I wake up it's not Calum or my mother sitting across from me.... It's Michael. He's silently tracing shapes on the back of my hand. I slowly pull it away to get his attention.
"(Y/N) I'm so glad you're ok. I didn't mean to hurt you. I was very drunk but that's no excuse for what I did. I'm so sorry."
"I'm sorry too." I reply.
He flinches at my words and looks down quickly. I know his dad never treated him right, but he was the only family he had. Now he's, all alone.
"He was such a dick but I really miss him." He says after a while.
I look over at him to say something then realize he's crying. I scoot over to the opposite side of my bed. He then gives me a very hurt look.
"Come here." I say patting the spot beside me. His facial expression brightens up just a little.
I rest my head on his shoulder as his arm wraps around mine. He kisses the top of my head, then starts to trace small shapes on the back of my hand again.
"I'm so grateful that you forgive me. What I did was unforgivable. If you would have told me to leave, and not come back I would have been completely heartbroken. I don't think I can live without you (y/n)." He says.
"I don't think I can live without you either. Before I met you I had nothing. Nothing and no one except my mother. You complete me Michael Clifford." I say looking into his eyes.
Our sentimental moment is shattered when a nurse walks in.
"I have some great n-" She looks up at us.
"Um, should I come back at another time?"
"No you're fine, what were you saying?" I say.
"Well, we finished up all of your paperwork so that means you're good to go whenever you're ready." She says with a big smile.
"That's great, thank you." I reply.
"Wait! Where are my clothes?" I ask as she turns to leave.
"I think you look great in that hospital gown." Michael says with a smirk.
"Shut up." I say playfully nudging him with my elbow.
The nurse chuckles at Michael's comment.
"They're in that cabinet over there." She says pointing across the room.
"Ok, thank you very much." I say.
"Where's my mom?" I ask Michael after the nurse leaves.
"She's in the waiting room. She said she would give us a moment to talk."
"Is Calum still here?" He flinches at my words again.
"I don't think so, he was gone before your mom let me come to see you."
"Ok, close your eyes." I say to Michael, getting up off the bed to get dressed.
"Are you serious? You expect me to keep my eyes closed when this beautiful girl who just so happens to be my girlfriend is changing?" He asks with a smirk.
"Just shut up and close you're eyes." I say throwing a pillow at him.
"Fine, they're closed." He says with both his hands over his face.
I haven't even gotten my pants up yet before I turn around to see Michael with his jaw, and eyes wide open.
"Hey!" I say throwing the hospital gown at him as a distraction so I could quickly pull my pants up and put my shirt on.
"You never said I had to keep them closed!" He defends.
"Oh whatever." I mock, holding in my laughter.
"Let's go home. It's been a long day." I say holding out my hand. He grabs it then almost immediately let's go to snake his harm around my waist.
"I'm so lucky to have you." He says.
