Taking a Turn
I've been searching for a while now, and still haven't found him. I'm debating wether or not I should go back to see if Calum has.
Just as I'm about to turn around I hear a familiar voice.
I turn to see a very drunk Michael sitting in the middle of a few empty beer bottles. I quickly kneel down to his level and wrap my arms around him. Calum shows up before I get the chance to say anything.
"Oh thank god, I was really starting to worry about you man." Calum gives Michael a hug, then sits down on the opposite side of him.
"What are you doing here?" Michael asks with an angry look on his face.
"Uh... We came to find you." Calum responds.
"I told you not to follow me!" Michael slurs.
"And what is she doing here!? I told you not to wake her, she doesn't need to see me like this!" He gets louder, causing a few people to look our way.
"Michael we just want to help you!" Calum defends.
Michael storms off back into the bar. Calum and I follow.
"Michael we just all need to go home. You shouldn't be drinking like this." Calum says.
"Who are you to tell me what I can and can't do!?"
"We just want to help!"
"Will you stop saying that! Just get out of my fucking face ok!?!" Michael begins to push Calum.
"Michael I don't want to fight you!"
"Michael please don't do this!" I say.
"You need to just leave me alone!" Michael screams in Calum's face.
"Maybe if you didn't drink so much you wouldn't be acting like this!" Calum yells back.
"What part of leave me alone do you not understand!?!"
"Michael, you're beginning to act like your dad!"
As those words left Calum's mouth, the entire bar goes silent. Calum's facial expression is filled with regret.
Before Calum could finish, Michael is on top of him repeatedly swinging his fists at his face. No one tries to stop them.
I grab the back of Michael's shirt and pull as hard as I could. He doesn't budge. I try again, but this time his elbow flys back and hits the side of my face.
I immediately fall backwards. The whole room is now spinning. I keep seeing explosions of black and white lights. My vision becomes more foggy, and dark.
Before long, I am completely passed out.
