"Hey lads, let's go to the music room, we can practise a bit in there" Calum suggested, Michael and I both agreed. When we got to the head office Mrs. Price told us that she had already lent the room to someone else. It was too weird since no one in the school came near the music room except for when we had it in class. "Let's go check it out and see who it is" I said and we all three headed to the music room. When we got there we heard someone singing; the voice was coming from a girl, and it sounded amazing. We opened the door and peeked inside, the girl sitting at the grand piano was Lexa.. I mean Zelda. I had not expected her to be so talented. She looked so lost in the music and she didn't even hear us coming in. We all sat down and listened to her finish the piano version of Jolene. When she had finished we couldn't resist the urge to clap.
She turned around jumping as she looked at us. "Oh shit, I'm sorry I didn't hear you come in.. Do you need the room? Cause I can totally just go" she said insecurely. "No, it's fine stay. You're really good. Nice to meet you again" I smiled as she looked down, her hair covering her face. "Yeah you're really talented!" Michael encouraged "Thank you" she said quietly. "So you didn't tell us you're name is Zelda!? Why did you tell us you're name was Lexa?" I questioned, I wanted to know why she hadn't told us her real name. "I'm sorry, firstly I thought I'd never see you guys again, and secondly I thought, that if I told you my name was Zelda you would think it was stupid. Oh and technically I didn't tell you a fake name, my middle name is Lexa. So I was only trying to avoid telling you my first name" she rambled on like she didn't have time to say everything. "Well, it's cool. Your name is not stupid we like it, it's awesome just like the game!" Michael said and it made her blush; she looked adorable when blushing. "Thanks.. I think.." She replied in her thick British accent. "Can you play other instruments than the piano?" Calum asked; Zelda nodded and stood up walking over and picked up a guitar. "What do you want me to play?" She asked "Can you play Deep Purple's 'Smoke on the Water'?" I suggested. I looked at her, and her eyes widened as if I had said something I shouldn't.
She started playing; it sounded really great. Could she be any cooler? All three of us looked at each other surprised and wide eyed.
Wow, I never thought I would meet any of the guys again, and suddenly I was playing Smoke on the Water for them. How did it even happen? The whole day had just gotten a lot better. I watched their faces as I played, they looked so happy and relaxed like it was the best thing they had ever heard. They were totally rocking out on their air guitars. "So yeah, I like to play the guitar, both electric and acoustic" I finished the song and they smiled. "You're a really cool girl Zelda!" Calum had a big grin on his face. I just blushed, like I always do when someone gives me a compliment.
Everything happened so naturally, I was happy to have made some 'friends' and didn't feel as alone anymore. "Hey do you want to come to our band practise later today?" Luke smiled; he was so charming, I just stared at him in a daze. After my moment of staring, I nodded in agreement. "Great, it's at my house you already know where it is. It's five o'clock." Luke said casually as he played with his lip ring. God he was cute. Was it weird that I actually wanted him, without even knowing him that well? I wondered what it would be like to have him holding me in his arms. What would it be like to kiss those beautiful lips? I bet it'd be totally awesome! Oh god stop it Zelda!! Now is not the time to fantasise about boys. It would probably just distract me from my school work. No, I decided it wasn't going to get me distracted. The four of us walked out of the music room and went to the head office to return the keys.
The rest of the day was kind of a blur, and it went by pretty quick. Soon I was at home sitting on my bed again, staring at my reflection in the mirror. I had a quick shower and put on a pair of ripped jeans and a loose Green Day tank top, I finished off the look with a pair of black pumps. I put on the same makeup look as I had done for school. I then looked at my phone, it was ten minutes to five. I grabbed my keys and wrote a note to my dad since he wasn't home yet. I went out of the door and on my way to Luke's house, my heart was racing, I suddenly became nervous. Luke made me nervous.
