I stare at my ceiling as Calum lays beside me, sleeping. I don't want to go to prom today. I know that something bad is going to happen. I don't know what I'm going to wear, I've never really been to prom before, and I don't want to go shopping.
Calum pulls me into his chest and kisses my cheek. "Don't worry, okay? Everything is going to be okay." He mumbles into my neck. It's like Calum knows that I'm worried. I love how he can tell that.
"Okay," I whisper. Calum looks at me and smiles. He kisses me softly and slowly.
"So," he asks. "What are you going to wear?" Calum smirks.
"I don't know." I sigh. "I don't want to go shopping either."
"Well whatever you wear, you're going to look goddamn sexy." Calum smirks and kisses me hardly. I giggle into his lips and then Calum pulls me on top of him. "What if someone walked in right now?" He smirks.
"I would kill you." I giggle. "But no one will because we're at your house." I smile and kiss him hardly. Calum smiles into my lips and flips me over so he's on top of me. His hands slowly travel down my sides and onto my theighs. Calum kisses down my neck and I softly moan as he finds my sweet spot.
"I love your moans." He mumbles into my sweet spot. "And in the morning, they're more loveable." I laugh and push Calum back down on the bed.
Calum laughs and I check the clock. It's about noon and the prom starts at seven. "I should go home." I sigh. "I need to figure out what I'm gonna wear."
"Want me to drive you?" Calum asks as he looks at me.
"No." I shake my head. "I can walk. What time are you going to pick me up?" I ask.
"Seven." He smiles. "Dress sexy." He winks.
I roll my eyes and kiss him before I get out of bed I throw on Calums sweatshirt and head downstairs. After a couple minutes of walking I finally reach my house. As I open the door Katie smiles and greets me. "You know. I was looking in your closet and you don't have anything to wear to prom." She says. I look at her with a questioning look. She's up to something. "And, I might have something you would want to wear."
Katie grabs my hand and she drags me upstairs into her room. On the bed lays a black knee high dress. The top is a sweetheart neckline with lace going up a couple inches below the neck and the straps are about an inch wide. It's simple but really pretty. "Katie." I whisper. "I love it."
Katie smiles and holds it up to my body infront of the mirror. "You can wear your brackets with it, and your combat boots you wear. You'll look badass." She smiles.
I laugh. "Thank you."
"You can thank me later. Now go and get ready. You might think it won't take long, but trust me. It will." She says.
I stare in the mirror. The dress looks great with my combat boots and bracelets. My hair is down in loose curls and I have simple makeup on. The dress goes right above my knees and it looks perfect. Calum should be here any minute. I honestly can't believe I'm going to prom. Mia Lane, the girl who plays the clarinet and the violin, the girl who no one liked, is going to the prom with one of the most popular guys of our school last year.
"Mia! Calums here!!" Jase screams from downstairs. I bite my lip and grab my phone before I jog downstairs. "Here is your lovely lady." Jase smiles.
"Wow." Calum says under his breath. I stare at Calum. He's in a black suit with a black tie. His hair is in a small quiff and he just looks drop dead sexy. His big brown eyes look beautiful.
"You two love birds go out. Have fun!" Katie says as she shoos us out of the house.
"Mia," Calum whispers as he stares at me. "You look so beautiful. And badass. And sexy, oh god sexy." He laughs slightly. I giggle and Calum kisses me slowly. "Katie is watching us." He mumbles against my lips.
My eyes shoot open and I look through the window. I laugh once I see Katie and Calum and I run to his car. "You look pretty sexy yourself." I smile as we get into his car.
"You'll get to see more later." He winks as he drives away.
When we walk inside the school Eve comes running over to me. "Damn girl." She laughs. I laugh and look at her dress. It's a short dark blue dress with diamonds around the neckline. It's really beautiful.
"I guess we're getting laid tonight." Michael says to Calum.
"Is there ever going to be a day where you two don't talk about getting laid?" I ask. Calum laughs and Michael shakes his head. I roll my eyes and then Michael and Eve go over to the dance floor.
"Aww look who showed up." Molly says as she comes up to us. She's in a red, tight, short dress. "The two lovebirds made it to prom." She smirks.
I bite my lip. "Why can't you just leave Mia alone?" Calum asks her. He holds my hand and pulls me into his side.
"Because I want to." She smirks. "There's no way I can torture you now is there? She's the next best thing." I bite my lip harder than ever. I can actually taste the blood now. I can't believe Molly is like this. I never did anything to her. "After what happened between us Calum, I don't think I'll ever forget that." Molly smirks.
I look at Calum. What happened between them? I bite the other side of my lip as Calum squeezes my hand tightly. "We didn't do anything together." He says. "One week after we started dating, I invited you to watch the guys and I play. The next day, I find out you cheated on me." I take a deep breath. Calum wouldn't lie about anything like this. "And you did that all because you didn't like the band. But look where the band is now? Already on one tour, and going on the next one in the summer. That's the only reason you want me back and your not going to."
Calum walks off with me onto the dance floor, leaving Molly, once again, standing there. Calum pulls me close to him. "Thank you." I whisper. "You and Molly never did-"
"No." Calum cuts me off. "We never did anything, I promise. I love you Mia, I would never lie to you." He smiles softly.
I smile and kiss his cheek. "I love you too."
"So," Eve says as we sit at a table. "Where are you can Calum going after this?"
"My place." Calum answers. "We're gonna have some fun." He winks.
"Oh my god." I shake my head. Eve laughs and so does Michael. "I'm going to the barroom, Eve are you gonna come?" I ask.
"Why do girls have to go to the bathroom together?" Michael asks. "I don't understand it."
"It's just a girl thing." Eve says as she follows me to the bathroom. "Are my boobs too big?" Eve asks as she stands in front of the sink mirror.
"You're lucky no one else is in here. And no, their not." I laugh. Eve laughs and then we walk out of the bathroom. We start walking towards our table but I don't see Calum.
"Oh my god." Eve says as she looks at the punch table. I turn around and look. Molly's arms are wrapped around Calums neck and her lips are against his. I watch as Calum backs away from the kiss and looks over at me. His face looks angry but sad. He starts to walk towards me and I start to walk away.
Tears stream from my eyes. Why? How? Why would he do that? How did it happen? He would never do that. I quickly start to walk out of the school. "Mia wait!" Calum yells as I get outside.
I ignore him and start jogging towards my house. I bite my lip as I reach my doorstep. I can't believe Calum would kiss Molly. All of the promises we made, their now broken. Every one of them. I quickly rip off my dress as I reach my room. I don't bother to put on pajamas. I throw all of my bracelets onto the floor as my makeup smears down my cheeks. I wanted tonight to be a great night where Calum and I had fun somewhere. One night where I could actually have fun.
I slowly lay down on my bed and curl up in the sheets. I pick at my skin with my nails and cry into my pillow.
All the promises we made, are now lies. All the 'I love you's' and the 'fun' are lies. I want it all to end. Just to finally end.
I'm such a horrible person for writing this. I had the whole prom planned out in my head where they would have the best night ever. And now, I can't believe I wrote this. Hoped you liked it though. Love you allxx
