It was Ellen's turn to choose the channel. Her favorite sport was figure skating, in complete contrast to Pumpkin.
And today it was on.
"It's the middle of summer! What's this doing on?!" asked Pumpkin, outraged.
"Pumpkin," Ellen said, sitting a little farther back on the beanbag chair, "there's something you have to understand. Figure skating is incredibly popular. It's now a year-round--"
"Don't say it! DON'T SAY IT!" Pumpkin shrieked.
Ellen turned to Pumpkin and smirked. "...sport," she finished smugly.
Pumpkin screamed at the top of his lungs. Man, would he get her back.
Twenty minutes later...
"Phone," said Pumpkin. Ellen was on the couch now.
Ellen took the phone. "Hello?" Moment of silence. "Hello? There's nobody there!"
"I never said there was," Pumpkin said matter-of-factly. "I was just pointing out that this is, in fact, a phone!"
Furious, Ellen punched Pumpkin in the face and stuffed the phone in his mouth.
An hour later, Pumpkin came back after cleaning the phone and getting another bright idea.
"Phone, Ellen. It's a boy."
"A boy?" Ellen asked, excited. "Hellooooo!"
"NO, I DO NOT WANT TO BUY ANY VINYL SIDING!!!" Ellen screamed.
"Doesn't he sound dreamy?" Pumpkin taunted.
