A slight knock was heard on the front door. Draco stood up and straightened his hair as good as possible and took his pajamas on. He went downstairs, and there stood Blaise. He looked horrible, to be honest. Draco opened the door a bit more so Blaise could get inside, Draco smiled slightly. “You look horrible. Something wrong, Blake?” Draco asked, as Blaise went inside. Blaise went straight to the living room where the alcohol cabinet was and took out some wine. He poured some up in 2 glasses, one for him and one for Draco. “There was a big fight. An awful lot of crying”, Blaise said while giving Draco the glass of wine. “Isn’t it a bit early for fights and alcohol? It’s 10 in the morning, Blake.” Draco frowned, looking very worried. “What was the fight about?” Draco asked, biting his lip. “Don’t act like you don’t know, Drake. I’m not really mad, if I have to be honest. Not at you, at least. I guess Hermione has done her duty on that. Well, I’m not mad at Pansy either; it’s been almost a year, if she told the story correctly.” Blaise sighed. “You know, Drake; it’s really weird. I know you and Panse was together during school, but that you would hook up with her again, after both of you was in a relationship with other people,”
Draco nodded, sitting on the couch as he stared out the window. “As she said, it’s a very long time ago, and it didn’t mean anything. We were both very drunk. I know that is the lamest excuse ever, really. I am not sure exactly how it happened, it just did. I’m really sorry Blake. I’m sorry that it happened and I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you about it, I should have…” Draco sighed. “Yes you should…”
A few days went by and everything quickly went back to normal.
It was now the big day and Pansy had come by the manor as planned to get ready for the wedding. She was just standing in front of the mirror most of the time, just looking at herself in the dress. She looked so happy. And she was so beautiful when she was happy.
Draco, on the other hand, wasn’t quite as happy as he maybe should have been now that 2 of his best friend were getting married, but he couldn’t quite get his mind together. Why had they been together that night? Blaise and Pansy had been together for about a year back then and it was getting pretty serious. Draco and Hermione had just started dating, after a lot of work on convincing Hermione to go on a date with him. He was still a bit of an idiot back then, but already at that time he had changed. If he hadn’t, he wouldn’t have tried on getting a date with Hermione Jean Granger, the Know-it-all from when they were in school together.
It couldn’t have been “just the booze”, but he couldn’t really think of another reason.
“What’s up, Dragon?” Hermione said as she sat beside him on the couch, smiling at him. He loved when she smiled at him. “Hey, Mione. Nothing really, I’m just a bit tired, I guess” Draco tried with a minor lie, but Hermione was too smart. Of course she knew when he was lying, it was pretty obvious that he was a bad liar, but Hermione was not the person to get someone to talk about everything, if they didn’t want to.
“Maybe we can talk about it later?” she tried, smiling and taking his hand in hers. Draco nodded, “of course. This isn’t really the time for it, if you understand.” He smiled as he leaned in to kiss her, but was interrupted by Pansy.
