Sneak peak for 'Fighting For You'
The next story in the Calum Hood series.
*I'll find a better name for this series, but for now it's called the Calum Hood series*
I stared at him and he stared back. Mixed emotions welled up inside me. But the strongest one was happiness. Happiness because he was finally in front of me. This wasn't a dream or a fantasy. It was real life. This was actually happening. A smile spread across my face and he ran forward before wrapping his arms around my waist tightly as if to make sure I wouldn't get away. Not this time, Calum, not this time.
He lifted me in the air and I wrapped my legs around his torso. His strong arms still held that familiar grip on my hips. I burried my head in the crook of his neck and inhaled his scent. We stayed like that for a while. Just him carrying me and holding me, not wanting to let me go, but I didn't want to let him go as well. His warm embrace comforted me and told me I was home.
We pulled away and that's when our lips finally collided. And in that moment, I swear nothing else mattered. A nuclear bomb could've been dropped but I wouldn't care because I was finally with him. After six months I was able to finally kiss those plump, perfect lips that only seemed like a figment of my imagination. Those lips that belonged to the boy who stole my heart and took it on a six-month tour around the world. I didn't hesitate to give him an entrance. My fingers found their way to his hair and interlaced within it. His black hair was soft, just like I remembered it. I pulled on it slightly.
He gently set me down on my feet before cupping my cheeks. I stared into those beautiful brown eyes that shinned brighter than any star. His eyes held wonder. They were like a galaxy within. Mysterious and never ending. I could just stare into them all day.
"I love you," Was all he said. Words that I only heard over the phone for six months. Words I was now able to hear physically and come out of his mouth directly.
"I love you too," I said truthfully.
"We did it baby, we survived six months without seeing each other!" He smiled. My vision got blurry as I realized tears we filling my eyes.
"Don't cry sweetheart, I'm here," He wiped my tears away and pulled me into his chest. "I'm here and I promise to never leave."
"Never let me go," I said.
"I won't darling. I'm here to stay."
I know Calum, I know.
