I felt my stomach drop.
A million questions rushed to my mind.
I stared at her speechless.
I was so quiet, I could have sworn, you can hear a pin needle drop.
Do my ears deceive me?
I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding.
"What do you mean? Why? You can't leave, you just got here, Helen!" I said.
She swung her legs off the bed and stood up.
"I know Luke!" She shouted, "I know! But Adin is in the hospital and I need to see him! Weather you like it for not, I'm going."
"What will Mom say? I know she won't let you go," I said.
"I already have the money for the plane ticket. Regardless what Mom says, I'm going," Helen said sternly.
She's so stubborn.
"Besides, I have to take care of a little problem back in California," Helen added.
"Like what?" I asked.
"Don't worry about it." Helen replied.
I sighed, "Fine, but if you're going, I'm going too."
"What?" She asked shocked.
"I'm going too," I repeated.
"So am I," Calum spoke up.
I looked at him and smiled.
"I'm going as well," Ashton said.
"Me too," Michael stood up.
"We're a package deal," I said.
"Are you four serious?" She asked.
"Dead serious," I replied.
I crossed my arms across my chest.
Not backing down.
She glared at me, but her eyes finally softened.
"Fine, you can come." She said. "Pack your bags for a week or more, we're leaving at eleven."
I checked the time, seven.
"Why so soon?" I asked.
She arched her brow, "If you can't handle that, then stay. You think your parents will let you guys go?"
"I don't know, I have to ask her," Calum said.
"Yea, I have to ask her. I'll come back around ten, maybe," Michael said.
"Okay, see you mates later," Ashton said.
They left the house.
I grabbed my black bag and started packing clothes in it.
5 black jeans, 4 shirts, 5 muscle tees, 1 pair of vans, 4 bras, 6 panties, 3 flannels, 2 pairs of sweats, 2 shorts, toothbrush, hair comb.
I zipped up the black luggage.
I slipped on a blue flannel over my white shirt, put on my black skinny jeans, and black vans.
I checked the time, 8:48.
I dragged my luggage out of my room.
"Billie Joe," I called.
Billie came up the stairs.
"Hey boy, ready for another trip?" I asked.
He tilted his head.
"Back to the plane's kennel, sorry bud."
I heard the door open.
"I'm home," Mom called.
Where was she all day?
"Hey mom," I replied.
She came up the stairs.
"What's with the bag?" She asked.
"I'm going on a trip," I replied.
"Where?" She asked.
"California. My friend is in the hospital and I have to see him," I replied.
She pursed her lips, "You're coming back, right?"
"Yes, I'm gonna be gone for maybe a week," I said.
She took a deep breath, "Okay, you can go."
"Really?" I asked.
"Thanks Mom! I hugged her.
Luke came out. He had a blue beanie over his blonde hair and had a sweater on, "Ready?"
"Yea," I replied.
"You're going too?" Mom asked.
"Yes," Luke replied.
"All my kids are leaving!" She exclaimed.
"Don't worry Mom, we'll be back before you know it," I said.
I pulled my luggage down the stairs.
The door bell rung and I opened the door.
"I'm ready!" Calum exclaimed.
"you seem excited," I laughed.
"I am! I've never been to America. I went to Brazil once, a while ago," Calum explained.
"Who else is going?" Mom asked.
"Me, Luke, Michael, Calum, and Ashton," I replied.
"And your parents let you?" Mom asked eyebrow arched.
"My parent let me!" Michael called from behind Calum.
"Yea mine did too!" Ashton added.
"Well, okay," Mom said.
"Bye, Mom," I said and hugged her and kissed her cheek.
Luke did the same, but hugged her longer.
He's such a Mom's boy.
I guess I'm a Daddy's girl.
We pilled the bags in Luke's car and got in the car.
He started the engine and drove to the airport.
It was a slow ride but thirty minutes later we arrived.
We got our bags and went into the airport.
It took roughly an hour and a half to get the tickets, go through security, get Billie Joe checked into the kennel, and get our luggage once again.
The lady at the desk was taking forever to get our tickets. I should have had my dad order them or something. The security thought that Michael was the type to have a knife or gun with him.
Wow, talk about judging too quickly.
That basically pissed me off, causing the security to get pissed at me too.
Checking Billie in was such a hassle.
It as already midnight.
The plane was going to leave at one maybe, I don't know.
I was getting sleepy.
"Tired," Calum nudged my arm.
I nodded, "Yea."
"You'll sleep on the plane," he said.
I smiled slyly at him.
I had my phone in my pocket, fully charged, headphones in my pocket, yep, ready for this plane ride.
We boarded the plane.
"Okay, lets stick together," I said.
There were two aisles of seats.
The rows had three seats each.
Calum and I sat next to each other.
I got the window seat.
Michael, Luke, and Ashton sat in front of us.
"Have you ever been on a plane?" I sat forward and asked to the boys in front of me.
"No, never," Michael said.
"Neither have I," Luke and Ashton said.
"It's not bad. I like night flight cause you can see all the lights," I said.
A woman's voice came on overhead, "Passengers please be seated, this is a non stop flight to Los Angeles. The Plane will be taking off in a little bit."
I intertwinded my fingers with Calum's.
He looked at me with his beautiful brown eyes.
"Are you gonna sleep?" Calum asked.
"You look tired. Sleep, babe," He soothed.
I felt the plane glide through the runway. A few minutes later it was in the air.
I looked out the window. Bright lights sprinkled the darkness.
I put my headphone in my ears, put my phone on shuffle and snuggeled next to Calum.
"Goodnight, beautiful," He whispered.
"Goodnight, Cal-Pal," I whispered back.
Back to California.
Going to see my best friend.
And my worst enemy.
This...is gonna be so much fun.
