I stood outside the Hemmings Household. Not sure if I should go inside or turn around and leave.
I finally opened the door and stepped inside. It was quiet. My stomach rumbled, I didn't have any food this morning, thinking we were going to get breakfast.
I went into the kitchen to get some food. As always, the only thing there was, was cereal. Since Liz is gone, Luke lacks on getting food for himself.
My elbow hit the handle of a pan and it sent the pan to the ground with a loud bang.
"Fuck!" I cursed.
I picked up the pan and put it away. I hoped Helen didn't wake up. I walked to the living room, when I was nearly shanked with a knife by Helen.
I jumped back. "What the fuck?!" I asked.
I heard a door slam shut and I sat bolt upright. I was confused and alert at the same time. I saw a note on my night stand and I picked it up.
I went out for a while, I need to buy some stuff. Be back soon. :-)
I got out of bed when I suddenly heard something crash. Should investigate? Fuck that shit! That;s how people get killed in horror movies.
"Fuck!" I heard someone say.
The voice sounded familiar. So I decided to downstairs. I held a small dagger in front of me in case I needed it. I was around the corner to the kitchen. I almost stabbed Calum, but he jumped back.
"What the fuck?!" he asked.
I sighed in relief. "Calum, I thought you were an intruder!"
"Well I'm not," He replied.
"What are you doing here? Luke isn't home if you are here for him."
"Oh I know. Luke told me to stay here with you."
Calum cleared his throat, "Uh, Helen, you should know that, you are not wearing any pants."
I wore a long shirt over my bra and panties. My eyes widened. "Oh shit!"
Calum scratched his head and looked the other way.
My face felt hot and I am dying of embarrassment. I turned and ran up the stair and I slammed my door shut. I quickly got dressed, brushed my hair and teeth, took a deep breath and walked back down.
"Sorry you had to see that," I said turning red again.
"It's fine," Calum said. "Listen, I'm hungry, want to get some breakfast?"
"Sure," I said with a smile.
"Great," he said, then took my hand and pulled me out of the house. I locked the door behind me. Calum opened the car door for me, I thanked him and he got it.
The car ride was silent and awkward
"You're making this awkward, Helen," Calum said. I remembered the time I told him that and I laughed.
"So I'm the awkward one now?" I asked.
"You aren't talking, I think you are pretty awkward," he laughed keeping his eyes on the road.
