7. Chapter Seven
James led her away from the cinema, and towards an alleyway. "Wh-where are we going?" Angelica asked frightfully. "Don't worry," James reassured her, "I'm not going to do anything to you...this way is just faster." Angelica followed, terrified of what could happen. James led her into the dark alley and turned her back towards him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and delicately pressed his lips against her neck. Angelica quivered in fear, her eyes wide and her mind racing furiously. James raised his lips up to her ear and whispered seductively, "This will only hurt a little."
He smirked just before opening his jaw and pressing his mouth down against Angelica's neck, sinking his razor-sharp fangs deep into her fragile flesh. Just before Angelica could shriek out in pain, James clamped his hand over her mouth to silence her. Blood was pouring out of Angelica's neck as James continued to sink his teeth in. He tried not to drink it, though. He struggled to resist the taste and the smell, yet somehow managed. Instead he was releasing venom through Angelica's veins. Angelica could feel the venom coursing, and her blood spilling out down her neck and onto her clothes. She began to feel light-headed from the large amount of lost blood and stress from panic.
She eventually fainted, and James caught her before she could fall and hit the ground. He licked his lips clean of Angelica's sweet blood and held her securely in his arms. He observed the wound he left in her neck. He felt horrible for having to do this to her...but it's not like he exactly had a choice. James knew he couldn't just take her back home, but he also couldn't not take her home because Daniel would freak out...James sighed. She can't go back home, too many questions will be asked. She has to know what she can and cannot tell people.. He thought. Angelica's eyes began to flutter, and James quickly scooped her up into his arms.
