James carried Angelica all the way to his home. He crept silently inside, careful not to alert the others of his presence, even though he was sure that his housemates would soon smell Angelica's human scent (which is slowly fading as she transforms). He carried her to his room and gently lie her down on his bed.
Angelica lay there peacefully, her breathing beginning to steady. James hurriedly made his way to the bathroom and retrieved a warm, damp hand towel. He returned to Angelica and delicately cleaned the blood off from her body. Angelica's eyes fluttered open, and just when her memories came back to her and the realization that she's not safely home came over her, she sat up and screamed.
"Shhh! It's okay!" James said to her, trying to reassure her. "You attacked me!" Angelica exclaimed! "I didn't want to! But, I..." James trailed off and sighed, "I had to." "You had to?!" Angelica repeated, obviously shocked and angry. "The clan wanted you." James replied calmly, even though his eyes showed fright, "I don't know why they did, they wouldn't tell me. It was an order...there's no disobeying orders in this clan." "What are you talking about?!" Angelica hissed.
James sighed before responding, "Do you remember anything that happened earlier?" Angelica nodded, "Yeah, you attacked me." James knew that she was going to continue describe it as an attack, but he didn't blame her. It did kind of happen like that... "How?" "I don't know!" Angelica exclaimed, "with a knife or something?!" "No," James replied matter-of-factly, "fangs." Angelica raised an eyebrow in confusion, "Fangs?" "Fangs." James repeated. He opened his mouth and showed his fangs to Angelica. She stared at them in disbelief. It was visible in her eyes: she believed him. But she wouldn't allow herself to give him the satisfaction of being right.
"Nice teeth. Where'd you get them done?" Angelica asked snarkily. James sighed with a hint of frustration. "Do you believe in supernatural beings?" he asked her. Angelica stared into his soulless eyes, knowing that by now she has no way out of this. She nodded her head slowly, and mouthed, "Yes." "I'm a vampire." James stated. He looked at her as she looked away, obviously even more frightened than she was before.
