47. Hard Life
Little Ashton is already a month old. And everyone is there for him. Ashton, Calum, lolly, Michael, of course luke and I. I have to admit, it's hard having a baby. Usually, if Ashton cries during the night, I have to get up. If Ashton needs his diaper changed, I have to do it. If he needs to be fed, I have to do it.
I heard Ashton crying. "Luke." I said shaking him. "Mhm." He said. "Can you get Ashton please. He's crying." I said. He nodded and got up. I went back to sleep.
I hate doing this. All Ashton does is cry! I just want to sleep. He was screaming. I picked him up, and rocked him to sleep. Once he was asleep, I put him down, and went to bed. "See that wasn't so bad." Skylar said. "It was awful. He wouldn't stop crying." I replied. "I do that every night." She said. "It's hell." I replied. "It was hell giving birth. You try it. You wouldn't like having a human growing inside of you." She said. I wrapped my arms around her, and went to sleep.
It was the morning. "Luke, do you want to go get Ashton?" I asked. "Can you?" He asked. I nodded, and got out of bed. "Hi, good morning Ashton." I said picking Ashton up. "Luke, I'll be downstairs." I said. Luke nodded. Ashton fell asleep in my arms. "Skylar!" Everyone yelled. "Shh! Ashton is sleeping." I replied. They all backed up. Luke came downstairs finally. Luke took Ashton from my arms. "Awe. Look at Lukey. He's going daddy." Michael said. "Shut up. You have no idea how hard it is to have a child at 19." Luke said. Amber came over and took Ashton, and watched him.
"You said you don't know how hard it is to have a child at 19. Really!" I yelled as Luke closed the bedroom door. "What? What did I do wrong?" He asked. "You heard what I said! You have no idea how hard it is to have a child at 19! Really!" I yelled. "It is hard." He replied. "It's harder giving birth to a baby at fucking 18 years old! If you didn't want a baby, then you should've have got me fucking pregnant." I said. "Im sorry! It wasn't my fault! You wanted a child! You wanted a family!" He yelled. A tear rolled down my face. "Don't cry. I'm sorry sky. I haven't gotten much sleep." He said. He pulled me into a hug. "Life is hard Sky. Whether we have a family or not. It does get easier." Luke said. I nodded. He was right. Life is hard with or. without a family
