12. Was Life Worth Living?
I went back to Hogwarts in September, with Dumbledore gone, Snape took his place as head and You-Know-Who had power. Deaths eaters were running the school and it was compulsory for any witch or wizard of school age. Naturally this caused questions as to the whereabouts of Harry, Ron and Hermione, Ron was covered with his look alike Ghoul, Hermione was muggle born so they weren't overly bothered about her, and everyone expected Harry to run, so there was no surprises there, although it was common knowledge that he was being hunted down, which made everyone (especially me) very nervous.
My time at Hogwarts was the worst I've ever had, it was the worst few months of my life. I was being tortured, the cruciatus curse was used freely on anyone, even first years. All Slytherin’s had priorities and this just made them even more unbearable, adding to the trauma of the time we were there. Life really wasn't worth living.
Between this time and the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry and I didn't see each other at all, I found this hard, and I missed him so much and couldn't help but wonder where he was or what he was up to. I'd heard the odd rumour about him breaking into Grignotts and escaping on a dragon and what have you, although it wouldn't surprise me, that was near enough impossible and I couldn't help but wonder if people were making these up to wind me up.
The only thing that gave me comfort was that it was not published as of yet, that Harry had been caught, and I was sure that if he were to be, it would be headline news across the country.
