32. The Week Before
It was the last week of July, Harry and I were split up on his birthday of all days as apparently it's 'tradition'. We hadn't been apart for longer than a night since the end of the battle, which was over a year ago now, so not being able to see him was a bit of a shock, and ruined all my plans of celebrating his birthday. I guess it would have to wait until Honeymoon. Mum and Hermione had arranged where we were going so it was a total surprise, they were going to side along apparate both of us separately I managed to squeeze from Hermione, but I wasn't even meant to know that much. Either way I knew it was going to be pretty special.
Nerves started to take over as the day drew ever nearer, we moved everything (including ourselves) to Hogwarts to begin to set up and settle in. Magic was of course used and made the job a whole lot more manageable. A marquee was set up in front of the lake and the whole site looked magnificent, I had constant butterflies and couldn't sleep at all the night before. I was constantly waking up and worrying about things that could have gone wrong.
I knew Harry would have been just as excited and nervous as me, however I couldn't help but feel for how hard it must be, such an event deserved friends as well as family, and he didn't have the later. My family had been as good as over the years, but it's still not your own. That was my last thought before I fell asleep as a non-married woman.
I woke up early and leaped on Hermione, she groaned and companied at the early awakening, admittedly it was half 4, but what more did she expect, It was my wedding day! Eventually I pulled her out of bed to start getting ready, I had to levitate her blanket from her, and the cold got the better of her in the end. I went and fetched breakfast from the kitchens as Hermione wouldn't accept that they would make us food. And once we were well fed and Hermione was properly awake we showered and started getting ready. Eeeeek!
