Spirits were running high and a buzz of excitement was in the air throughout the rest of the afternoon. But the only person I could think about was Harry, he was still in the dungeons, probably wondering how the match went, dreading finding out because he thought (and he wasn't the only one) we were going to lose, or if not loose, not win by a big enough margin to win, leaving us in second. But we did win by enough... We did win the cup title! Harry was just going to have to wait to find out!
Ron's amazing keeping helped us out big time, the new champion of the team it has to be said (however hard it is to say that about my brother - it's true!) Harry has trained him well.
I tried to put these thoughts out of my head as we headed back to the common room that evening and Harry still hadn't turned up. The party got going and was well and truly underway, Ron was receiving more attention than usual from the girls, with his new found talent... Hermione didn't look over impressed about it... Almost what she looked like when Lavender and Ron first kissed. But that was all over after he got poisoned and he said Hermione's name in his sleep, rather than Lavenders! Much to our amusement.
And that's when the portrait hole opened... Harry walked through the door looking miserable as ever, until almost the whole team charged towards him and leapt, pretty much flattening Harry, everyone was cheering and the spirits lifted once more. I stood back and waited for the rest of the team before going to hug him, I think he thought I was avoiding him, he looked at me stood in the corner, but when I started running towards him his smile lifted a little.
I jumped into his arms to hug him, and when I finally let go, he looked me in the eye, pulled me closer to him, and pushed his lips onto mine, they fitted perfectly and I reciprocated the kiss, the short amount of time could not have been more perfect, it was the most meaningful thing, my whole body had a tingling sensation, nothing has ever felt so right. It was only when Harry pulled away, and I could see him looking at someone in the room... I turned around to see Ron looking shocked and, well I guess you could describe it as livid, Harry just kept staring at him, as if looking for approval (after all he had seen how angry Ron got at Dean when he walked in on us kissing), finally Hermione slapped Ron's arm and after the longest 10 seconds of my life, he shrugged, almost as if to say it was going to happen, and he let us continue. The whole common room cheered and I couldn't help but smile, and every time I looked at Harry I couldn't stop myself grinning. I had never been so content. Was this all real?!
