18. Teddy Lupin
August was upon us and Hermione and Ron had gone off on an adventure, just for a week to find Hermione's parents and reverse the 'Obliviate' spell she had cast on them just over a year ago. This left me and Harry not much to do but play Quidditch and play fight. However much we loved one anthers company, it felt like something massive was missing without the other two, that's when Harry randomly came up with the idea to go and see his god son. Naturally I wanted to go too, so we arranged to go the very next day.
I laid eyes on Teddy, who was now around 6 months old and fell in love, he looked just like Lupin, except his hair would change colour when he laughed and then to a different colour when he started crying. This alarmed us a little, but Harry instinctively picked up Teddy and he stopped almost immediately, his little face turned in to a grin once more and he started giggling as I tickled his feet, his hair went blue at this reaction, which we thought was hilarious, there was no doubting that he was his mother’s son. We just hoped he'd learn to control it as he grew up! I looked at Harry who seemed so at home with the child and couldn't help wondering whether one day we'd bring up our own family, I was about to raise this question when we realised it was nearly night fall and about time we got home for supper, otherwise mum would worry about us. We both kissed little Teddy good bye and I had a little vision of us and our own family in my head as we said our thanks and left the house ready to apparate back to the burrow. Harry stopped outside, looked me in the eye and whispered, "That’ll be us one day" before kissing me and grabbing hold of my hand as we disapparated.
The smell of stew was wafting around the house sweetly as we arrived home, only to discover we had visitors. Much to our delight Hermione and Ron had returned, with Hermione's parents who were here for supper. We had a fabulous evening and spirits in the Burrow were the highest they've been for a long time.
