I couldn't wait to tell everyone, there's no way I could sleep now after such an exciting evening. I sprinted over to Coleman (the owl mum bought me for becoming a prefect, he has come in very handy, I've needed to send mail twice as much as I always used to, so not having to run up to the owlery every five minutes was a bonus) and scribbled down a note for each of my family members. Harry laughed at me for a good twenty minutes, and having let me send Coleman off with my exciting news he told me they all knew he was asking. How I could be the last to know about our own engagement I do not know.
I thumped him for laughing at me before leaping over to the door, I pushed it open as fast as I could and happily skipped out the door, down the steps into the common room and out through the portrait hole. I completely forgot about curfew and didn't make any effort to be quiet, of course I then attracted the attention of Peeves 'STUDENT OUT OF BED, STUDENT IN THE CORRIDOR' I giggled at him making trouble out of nothing. Flitch soon appeared and before being dragged away a tabby cat appeared and within a blink of an eye McGonagall had transfigured in front of me. She questioned my urgency, and as not even Peeves or Flitch could wipe the smile from my face, she assumed the news was something too good to wait, and I couldn't control myself before 'Harry and I are getting married!' exploded from my mouth, I wasn't intending to break the news like that, nor intending to say it at all really but it just slipped out completely unintentionally. I saw the corners of her mouth curl upwards, before she handed me permission to go forth to Professor Weasley's office. I ran away and heard a faint "walk Miss Weasley" from behind me, I obeyed and proceeded in a speed walk down the moving staircase and through another cold candle lit corridor, before coming to a halt at the door of my father’s office. My stomach filled with butterflies and I hesitated. I stood there for at least a minute before I drew a deep breath and lifted my arm and clenched my fist to bang on the door. I took another breath and knocked, hard 3 times. The door swung open within seconds and I stood face to face with my grinning father. I ran and jumped into his arms, before realising I hadn't actually explained why I was so happy. But there was no need to explain, clearly Harry wasn't lying when he said my family knew. He laughed and hugged me once more before telling me to go back to the common room, and that he'd see me tomorrow. He had a slight look of sadness in his eyes, I guess he was losing his (not so) 'little girl' after all. But I know he would rather it be Harry than anyone. I scarpered pretty quickly before bouncing back up to the common room.
The shock still hadn't left and I was still grinning from ear to ear. I jumped back into our room to hug Harry and share a passionate kiss once more before bounding into Hermione’s room. Much to my disappointment she wasn't there, I ran back and asked Harry where she was, and still laughing, he explained that she and Ron also had their own room, I skipped down our corridor, only to notice a door I never had noticed before. I guessed this was the one and burst through the door, only entering my mind it may have been a good idea to knock. But they were both asleep so I didn't interrupt anything - luckily. I jumped on their bed, Hermione looked up and stated laughing. "I'm guessing you said yes then?" I hugged her and Ron, who looked slightly bewildered and confused about the whole situation. Before I ran back out of their room and jumped into Harry's arms. Rarely had I been so happy, especially since Fred had passed. We were going to get married!
The next day at breakfast McGonagall came up and congratulated us, along with the rest of the staff - how they found out I don't know, I was sure McGonagall wouldn't have told anyone. I know news travels quickly, but really? I found out less than 12 hours ago! Our headmistress sat down at the Gryffindor table, after telling us all about her time at Hogwarts, and the good times she spent sat at this table, she told us that the wedding would be welcomed here at Hogwarts, at the end of the school year if we wanted to take up the offer. I watched Harry's reaction to this and couldn't say no, I knew how much it would mean to him to have our wedding in the first place he thought of as home. We didn't have any muggle friends or family that we would want at the wedding, so Hogwarts' security was not a problem. It was a deal, our wedding was to take place at the castle here at Hogwarts. And I couldn't think of a better place for it.
After breakfast we headed back to the common room, it was a Saturday after all, and there was no Quidditch matches today, usual training with my team after lunch but this morning was free. I walked back up to Harry's office with him. Much to my surprise and delight, when I walked through the door my family were there and they jumped out and cheered. My smile once again grew into a face splitting grin. Seeing all the people who mean the most to me happy about my own future and decisions elated me! A few close friends were there also to show their support and approval I guess. Harry looked as surprised as me to find them all in his office, which soon made me wonder who put them up to this. And more to the point, how they got in. Luckily, our room door is only visible to Harry and me, so our secret was still safe.
