I firmly held the microphone that was in my right hand as I was pushed through the narrow corridor leading to the stage. Nialls hand was guiding me towards it and stopped me by pulling my shirt lightly and taking me to the side.
"I just want you to know that i'm proud of you, mate"
He slapped my shoulder twice and shot me a sympathetic smile. He must've realised my confusion as he began to explain;
"Today must've been tough for you- It was tough for me, so I dread to think what it was like for you.."
I lowered my head and started rubbing my thumb over the microphone.
"I-I don't want to upset you before we go on.."
He tried to undo what he thought he had done.
"..I just wanted you to know that I'm-we're here for you"
He stared at me with a smile, waiting for me to say something. I looked up at him and smiled back at him. I do appreciate what he does for me. As much as I love the other boys, Niall and I will always have the strongest bond.
I didnt want to say anything. Not in a rude way, I felt the only way I could show him my appreciation was by an act of physicality. I lifted up my arms and wrapped them around his neck. I relished in the moment as it had been a while I had felt the warmth of another human, not even from my family.
Niall was a bit shocked at first but soon wrapped his arms around my waist. I pulled away from the hug. Niall and I both nodded our heads at each other, the atmosphere soon becoming awkward.
He pointed behind him with his thumb.
I followed him out onto the side stage where we waited until the music started and we piled out together.
We were about 3/4 of the way through the show, and everything was going as good as it could've been until something caught my eye. Something that made my heart stop. Something that caused me to forget my lyrics and mess up the song.
The band stopped playing and the boys came over to me, worried about what I had saw.
"Harry, mate. Come on, lets just go have a drink of water"
Louis chirped in my ear, but all that I was fixated on was this in the crowd. The audience mumbled in confusion, confused to as why the concert had stopped and I was acting skitzo.
The same golden locks, the same features. She was gorgeous...she was the spitting image of Alex.
