10. Chapter 9

Ash drove me to my house to pick my stuff up. I was starting to get really nervous, what if dad was at home? How would he react when he saw Ash?

Ash probably saw how nervous I was getting, so he took my hand, squeezing it.

“hey, it’ll be ok. If your dad’s at home you could just borrow some of my clothes tonight, and just wear the same dress tomorrow.”

I nodded, relaxing a bit.

We eventually got to my house, and I just sat there, scared. I eventually got out of the car, Ash following me. I slowly made my way to the front door, putting the key in.

I slowly opened the door, listening to see if dad was at home. I didn’t hear anything, and relief washed over me. I opened the door wide, welcoming Ash in. I let Ash stay downstairs as I went upstairs to get everything I need.

I quickly made my way downstairs and ran out the door, Ash following closely behind me. I slammed the door shut, quickly locking it. Just being in that house made me feel scared and nervous.

We quickly made our way back to Ash’s house. I sighed with relief when we got in the house. We made our way to Ash’s room, after eating a small snack.

“do you wanna shower first?” Ash asked, looking at me.

I nodded, and took my bag with me to the bathroom. Their bathroom was amazing. Well, others would think the bathroom was average and not that fancy, but compared to mine, it was amazing. This was the best show I had taken in ages. I showered quickly, not wanting to use up all the hot water. I quickly left the bathroom and went into Ash’s room, finding him sprawled out on his bed, on his phone. He looked up when I came in and grinned.

“Heyyyy, I have a feeling you’d like this game. It’s called ‘cut the rope,” (sorry I couldn’t think of any other game whoops) he said, passing his phone to me. He quickly left the room to shower, while I played the game. I admit, it was pretty fun, and within 15 minutes, I had reached level 24.

I smiled, proud of myself. Suddenly, a notification came up, saying Ash had a text from someone.

(unknown number)

Hey mate, Its Luke. You know, Luke Hemmings from school. I was wondering if you’d like to come over, like, right now? I really need to tell you something (;

I froze, not knowing what to do. I sat there, staring at the screen. Suddenly Ash came in smiling.

“you know I usually shower longer than this but since you’re here, I decided to be as quick as I can,” he said grinning. He stopped talking when he saw me staring at his phone.

He slowly took his phone out of his hand, and frowned.

“How did he even get my number,” he said, frowning. He said down next to me, and typed in a reply.

To: Luke Hemmings

No, tell me tomorrow if you really need to.

After he sent it, he turned his phone off, and threw it onto his desk.

I looked at the clock, surprised.

“woah its already 11?” I asked, surprised.

Ash yawned. “I guesso. I’ll go sleep on the couch, you can sleep on the bed,” he said, making his way out.

“Wait, stop,” I said, before I could think. Ash froze at the doorway, slowly turning back to me.

My cheeks flushed. “I mean, erhm, I don’t, really, mind if you stay here. U-unless you don’t, want, to?” I asked, embarrassed.

Ash grinned, and ran into his bed again, diving under the covers. I giggled, following him.

Ash turned the lights off,yawning.

“Night Tashy, sleep tight,” he said.

I smiled. “Night Ash.”
