I woke up next to Luke, I stretched tiredly and looked around. Luke yawned and sat up as I asked him "who's 5 Seconds of Summer??"
"Oh yeah.. Me, Calum, Michael and Ashton decided to become a band in 2011.." He explained.
"I never knew you guys could sing.." I said curiously.
I never knew you could sing," he said smugly.
I punched him playfully and said, "don't mess with me."
"That hurt," he pouted as he moved in closer to me and pecked me on the cheek.
It was almost 1:00, before we'd got to "breakfast" to meet up with the others. Ashton wasn't at the table, just like yesterday. Instead he was sitting at a table by himself . I sighed and made my way over towards the queue when a hand pulled me aside .
"Hey, I'm Louis," a cute boy with nice smile said to me.
"Ummm.. Do I know you from somewhere?" I whispered awkwardly.
"Nahh, but we should get to no each other.. That's why I'm inviting you to sit with us." He whispered, nodding towards the 'One Direction' table.
"I don't need no invitation to sit there," I almost yelled out but instead I said "sorry, that's a no from me, plus I've already got a table".
He looked offended as if he'd never heard of the word no before as I signalled towards the table that Luke was at but then walked off, back to the 'One Direction' table. I looked towards Luke to see if he'd overheard any of our conversation but he was laughing at something Michael had said.
Once I had gotten my food I went over to Luke and said "I'm going to go sit with Ash, I have to settle something with him." He nodded understandingly and I went over. Ash looked up as I sat down opposite him.
"Hey," I said softly breaking the tension between us.
"Hey," he mumbled sadly.
"How have you been?"
"No I mean truthfully Ash, how have you really been?" He looked up at me with his big brown eyes and said " Ever since I became friends with Luke he always got the attention. He always got the girls, and he always got invited to parties. Whereas I, got no attention, no girls and no invites. When I first saw you, I thought you would ruin that pattern. I liked you and I thought you liked me. I thought so many things but none of them were true."
I looked at him sympathetically and tried to say none of that was true, but I realised that it all was true, and sometimes the truth can hurt.
