Baby Lashton

{sequel to Diary of A Drummer}

It's one year later, Luke and Ashton are now married "happily", and they have a son, named Lashton. They couldn't decide on a name so they decided to collide their first names.

Lashton Hemmings Irwin.

He's for sure the cutest, sweetest child ever, but is that enough to save Luke and Ashton's relationship from jeopardy?

1. Lashton

Ashton cradled the baby in his arms as Laston chewed on his wedding ring.

Ashton leaned down and planted a kiss on the small child's head. Four months old, still so little. Everyone loves having the baby around, especially when he tried to talk and it turns to mush.

Ashton rubbed a hand over the baby's soft hair, smiling at the lightness of it. He knew well that it'd probably only get somewhat darker, but he didn't mind. The baby had his eyes, and Luke's dimples, Ashton's laugh. The baby is a bundle of perfection to them and the other boys.

Lashton's beautiful eyes fluttered closed and Ashton knew it was nap time for the baby. He gently rocked the baby in his arms as the walked up the stairs to the room he shares with Luke.

When Ashton was sure that the baby was asleep, he gently laid Lashton down in his cradle bed.

Ashton sat there for a while, rocking the cradle whilst watch Lashton, who was sprawled out under his soft baby blanket. The baby's white skin stood out against the baby-blue blanket.

"And I'd give up forever to touch you," Ashton began to softly sing Iris, by Goo Goo Dolls.

"'Cause I know that you feel me somehow,

You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be,

And I don't want to go home right now,

'Cause all I can taste is this moment,

And all I can breathe is your life,

And sooner or later it's over,

I just don't want to miss you tonight," Ashton began to cry by the time he'd gotten to the chorus.

"And I don't want the world to see me,

'Cause I don't think that they'd understand,

When everything's meant to be broken,

I just want you to know who I am." Ashton stopped there, not wanting to continue anymore. He stood from the stool that was seated next to the cradle and walked to the bathroom, where he dried his face and attempted to make it look less splotchy from the tears.

His eyes were red and puffy, his face splotchy and red, Ashton was a mess.
