4. chapter 4
I stumbled into the house, my vision blurry and sloping. It was hot in the room and I was craving more and more alcohol.
"Woah, Luke... are you drunk?" A voice, similar to Calum's asked.
"No! I only had five beers... I'm all good here." I slurred. Before Calum could speak, a loud burp escaped me. I felt a churning feeling in the pit of my stomach and a burning sensation in my throat. Before I knew it, I was losing the contents of my stomach on the tiled floor below me.
"Eww!" Calum squealed. Everything around me began to spin in slow motion. Everything, sloping and bending in awkward places, like a broken bone. Things began to change colours as they spun in in different directions. I felt like I was standing under a colourful carousel that spun and spun and spun, never stopping. The hot sun beating down on the carousel as spun in dizzying ways.
I couldn't see straight, I couldn't hear properly, I couldn't stand still. "woah," I muttered. I couldn't see good enough to tell if Calum was still standing amongst me.
I fell back, unable to get to my feet, and sat there until the alcohol consumed my entire body, lulling me into an enforced slumber.
