There was a loud knock on the front door, so i quickly got off the couch and ran to answer it. when I answered the door, a teenage girl and a teenage boy stood at the door.
"Hello," I smiled. "how may I help you?"
"Hi, my name is Angela, and this is my boyfriend Will. We've been asking people around the neighborhood if they believe in God, or the Bible. We're to ask, do you believe in God?' The girl said.
"Yeah, I believe in God,"
"Do you just get home from work and read your own Bible, to calm your nerves or something?" Will asked.
"Um, not usually, but I do occasionally, and I don't have a job." I gave a small, awkward smile.
"Okay, we understand and respect that." Will smiled. "But our main question of today is, 'how do you view gay marriage?'"
"Well, I'm gay. I have a husband and a son, and we're somewhat happily married." i smiled.
"Oh, you have a child?" Angela asked with a grin. "How cute." She smiled.
I watched as will pulled out a paper. "Here you go, sir-"
"My name's Ashton." I smiled.
"Ashton," He smiled. "This is your personal copy of our monthly MZP. If you would keep it and read it, we would highly appreciate it, and if you have your own personal copy of the bible, you could use it while reading this." Will smiled.
i took the small paper out of his hands and gave a small smile. "Thank you, and have a good afternoon." I smiled.
"You too!" They said in unison.
I shut the door and walked back towards the couch where I continued to watch my Netflix movie in peace.
