23. Chapter 23
I sat in the cold waiting room of the ER.
Luke is back there, maybe even dead.
Lashton, Michael, and Calum were by my side, trying to keep their chill for my sake.
Every time a nurse or doctor walked out, I panicked. I panicked out of fear that they would pronounce Luke dead.
My hand gripped Lashton's, and I closed my eyes, trying to relax.
A nurse strutted out, bright red lipstick, dark brown hair, almost black in my opinion, wearing a nurse dress.
She didn't look like much of a nurse to me.
"Mr. Irwin?" She called out in a high pitched voice. Oh, brother, here comes another headache.
The boys and I stood as she took notice and came towards us. As she approached us, she eyed each of us, but stopped at Lashton, ogling at him longest. She gave him a cheeky smile before winking playfully. I watched Lashton's reaction: a shy grin and a flushing of the cheeks.
"Mr. Hemmings is awake. He's in room 313. I can show you the way, if you like. " She said, still eyeing Lashton.
