I woke up, and took a warm bubble bath. Once I got out, I felt refreshed, but I also felt horrible. I put on a pair of Victoria Secret bra and panties I got a call from Luke and I sighed. "Good morning Iris!" He exclaimed. "Hey Luke." I smiled. "You okay? You sound down." He asked. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." I answered. "Wanna skip school and come to watch 5sos practice?" He asked. "Uh, yeah, sure." I agreed. "Michael will pick you up. I can't wait to see you." He said. "Alright, thanks." I replied. I hung up and grabbed my F Off Muscle Tank, Vintage 90s Lee Blue Light Wash High Waisted Rise Cut Offs, Loose Knit Fluffy Cardigan with Ombre Effect, Knee-High Socks, and brown combat boots. I put all of the items on, and fixed my hair, putting it in a side dutch braid.
I walked downstairs and sat on the couch, my mom and dad were making breakfast and I smiled at them. "Hungry?" They asked. "No thanks, my friend Michael is coming to pick me up and drop me off at ban.... I mean school, and he's going to get me something to eat." I replied. "What's with you and all the guy friends?" My father questioned. "Girls are annoying and bitchy and always starting drama so I rather hang with guys." I said. "Plus they're hot." I added, smirking. My mom laughed and nodded her head. "That's my girl." She murmured. "So where is your brother?" She asked. "He left to school early." I answered, quickly. "Had this project thing." I added. "Oh, alright." My dad said. I heard a honk sound of outside, and I stood up. "Well thats my cue, see you guys later." I waved goodbye and grabbed my bookbag, walking outside. I saw Mikey, standing against the car, and I smiled. "Hey cutie." He said. "Oooh so you're flirting with me now?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "God no, I'd never date my friend's gal." He smirked. "I'm not into Matt or Luke, Michael." I replied. He stepped closer. "Really?" He whispered. I can feel his breath on my cheek. "Really." I replied. "But you should know by now that I'm not the type of girl that I don't ." I laughed. I got in the car and he got in as well. "So you should totally stop and get me breakfast." I said, putting on music. He laughed. "Should I?" He questioned. "Yeah I haven't eaten and I love food." I smiled. "Who doesn't? I'll get you some, I want some myself." He said. "I think we're going to get along really well." I murmured. "That would make Lukey jealous." He laughed. "Well Lukey has a girlfriend." I rolled my eyes. "Speaking of Justice, she's going to be at the practice." He said in a low, soft voice. "Of course she is."
"Isn't she your best friend?" He asked. "Well yeah, but she doesn't really speak to me that much." I admitted.
"She's always with Luke." Michael said. "Yeah." I replied. "So why don't you like Matt?" He asked. "He's cute and nice and all but I just don't feel like he actually likes me for me." I answered. "Like Luke." He said. "Yeah. Like you too, you get me." I smiled. He parked and we got out, going inside of a bakery place. "You sit, I'll order." He told me. I sat down and let him order whatever he wanted for me, since I would be perfectly fine with anything. In a few moments, he sat down and we started talking about the band. "So guitarist, right?" I asked. "Correct." He smirked. I almost screamed because his smirk was honestly very beautiful. When he saw my reaction to his smile, he smiled even bigger. "You can't do that, Michael." I laughed, looking down. "I'm not even trying, I'm just smiling." He replied.
"So you must have a girlfriend, right?" I asked. "Why do you think that? Many girls don't want to stay in bed and do nothing and I'm quite boring so no." He answered. "Oh please, with your hair and smile and awesomeness and being in a band." I said. He smiled and got up, getting the food. "Are you good with eating pizza in the morning?" He asked. "Fuck yes." I answered. We started eating and we actually talked about the band. "We've been writing, and they're pretty good." Michael said.
"If you ever need help on writing, I'd be really glad to help. I write poetry and sometimes songs." I replied. "Yeah, yeah of course, the guys and I would love your help." He smiled. Once we finished, we walked to the car and he started to drive to where they practice. "So, what's your opinion of Justice?" I asked. "Well, I mean I don't really hang out with her much so I can't really say much. I know she doesn't like Green Day or Fall Out Boy or All Time Low or stuff like that but that's how she is; better to be yourself than someone you're not. I guess she's fine, Luke likes her so." He answered. I nodded at his great personality and thinking, and smiled. "I have to say though, Luke does seem happier when with you than when he's with Justice." He murmured. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, everyone says that." I laughed. "We're just really close friends." I said. We arrived and he guarded me to where they practiced. We walked in and they looked at us. "Hey, Iris and Mikey!" Luke exclaimed when we walked in. "How was hanging out with Michael?" Calum asked. "It was great, oh my gosh, he's awesome. I might date him instead of Matt." I answered, with a smirk. My eyes met Luke's and he looked away. "So shall we start since everyone is finally here?" He asked. "Of course." The boys answered. I sat down next to Justice and she gave me a hug. "So you finally accepted the fact that you have an awesome, talented boyfriend in a band?" I asked. She nodded. "Yeah, thanks for making me see it." She answered. "Yeah, what are friends for?" I replied. The boys started to practice and I couldn't seem to get my eye off them. They all got like 1003929403 times hotter when playing. Once they finished, Luke looked right at me. "That was fantastic." I said in a soft voice -- I was honestly speechless. "It's called Out Of My Limit." They all stated. Justice ran up to Luke and kissed him. I totally ignored it, trying not to show how I felt about it and smiled. "I have to say, you guys look so much more hot than usual when you play." I smirked. "I know how to play the bass and the regular guitar, never got to learn how to play drums. Ash, would you teach me?" I asked. He nodded.
I sat on his lap and he gave me the drum sticks. Luke and Justice stopped kissing and he looked at me. I looked back and flashed a smile. "It's pretty easy." He started. He guided my arms and I gasped. "God damn look at those muscles." I murmured. "Perks of banging drums all day." He said. "Alright, alright, let me not stare at those and get distracted. So continue teaching me." I laughed. He taught me how to play and in a few minutes I was starting to get the hang of it. "You're obviously a quick learner." He smiled. "Oh my gooosshhh yoUR DIMPLES AND SMILE." I started to blush like crazy. "Oh yeah, Luke told me about that dimple fetish thing." Ashton smiled even bigger. "Stoooopppp." I looked down. "But yeah, total quick learner. Plus I like banging things." I said. The boys all looked at me and I laughed.
"You all have disgusting minds." I shook my head. I got off of Ashton's lap and hugged him, saying thanks for teaching me. "I like that song, you guys are really talented." I said.
"I wanna play with you guys, I already know all the lyrics... fast learner." I added. "You do not know the lyrics." Luke approached me. "Wanna try me?" I winked. He gave me the microphone. They started playing and I jumped in, singing the exact words that were in the song. They all looked at me with wide eyes and dropped jaws. Once we finished, I bowed and laughed. "What the flying fuck." Calum murmured. "So yeah, I'll leave the rest of the practice to you guys." I laughed.
I sat back down next to Justice and she looked at me. "Was that flirting with Luke?" She asked. "No, we're just friends." I laughed. "Then why do you guys look at each other like that?" She questioned. "What fucking look is everyone talking about, I don't like him, he's dating you, you're my best friend, quit it please." I murmured. "Plus, I was flirting with everyone besides Luke." I laughed. "I don't blame you, they are absolutely cute." She said. I nodded. "So, your date with Matt." She smirked. "What about it?" I asked. "Well. How was it?" She replied. "It was pretty good, the movie was fun, and he was charming." I smiled. "Why are you being so hard to get?" She asked. I rolled my eyes and laughed. "I just don't want to seem easy or be controlled." I answered. Matt walked in and we turned to look at him. He looked right at me and smiled. "Iris." He said, approaching me and giving me a hug. "Hey." I muttered, looking at Luke during the hug, and Luke staring right at me, looking a bit mad. He pulled away and started hugging everyone else. Once he hugged the boys, Michael asked "so how was your date?"
Luke looked at Matt and licked his bottom lip. "Yeah, tell us about it." He said, stepping a bit closer. I looked at Luke and raised an eyebrow.
Matt explained how the date went and when he finished with the kissing part, Luke crossed his arms. "Was she a good kisser?" Calum asked. "Why don't you come over here and find out?" I winked, joking. "Oh yeah, totally. Go over there Cal, find out." Luke murmured.
"Are you okay Lukey Pookey?" Justice asked.
I looked at her with an annoyed look and then looked back at Luke, slowly walking towards him. "Yeah, 'Lukey Pookey.' What is wrong with you? Are you seriously mad that I went on a date with a guy that you insisted on me dating? Why don't you tell us about what you and Justice were doing in your bed last night." I spat out, a bit too close to him. He rolled his eyes and stood quiet. "Exactly." I laughed, moving back. "Well, watching you guys perform has been absolutely fantastic, but I think I should go. You guys are extremely talented. See you whenever." I said. "Need a ride?" Ashton asked. I smiled. "No thanks, Ash. I appreciate it but being alone is my thing. I'll just walk." I answered. I walked out and cursed under my breath, noticing it was raining.
"Fucking figures." I murmured. I started walking to my house and I felt my eyes get watery, and a lump in my throat. I was walking as my tears were released because I was tired of holding them in. I turned around, due to a hand being placed on my shoulder. "Are you okay?" Matt asked. I nodded. "Why wouldn't I be?" I answered. "You're crying." He replied. "It's raining, its the rain, I don't cry over boys." I laughed. "You care about him." He said. "Of course I do, he's my best friend." I explained. "You like him more than a fr-" He started. I crashed my lips onto his, and his lips moved with mine. He licked my lips for entrance and I granted him access. In a few seconds, I pulled away. "I like you. Luke is just a friend and he was being out of line which is why I got like that." I muttered. "So does that mean we're dating?" He asked, smiling. "What the hell, sure." I answered. He pecked my lips and I smiled. "Should I walk you home or do you want me to stay back?" He murmured. "Stay, I like being alone." I said. He nodded and told me to be safe. I continued walking home, and I felt complete emptiness as I walked alone. I enjoyed being alone, but I hate feeling lonely. I do like Luke more than a friend, and I long to kiss those sweet, soft lips. I would've liked being accompanied by someone but I'm stubborn. That's just who I am. The girl who is friends with the girl who gets the guy while I'm stuck feeling like the old toy.
I walked inside my house, dripping wet, and my brother was sitting there. "Hey, sis." He said. He looked at me and his eyes widened. "I think you're a bit wet." He laughed. "So funny, I'm dying from laughter." I rolled my eyes.
"I see you skipped school." he whispered, getting me a towel. I nodded. "I see you did too." I laughed. "Great minds think alike." He smiled. "Well I'm going to change and then take a nap. Love you." I murmured. "Love you too." He looked at me with sympathetic eyes. I took a quick shower and jumped in bed.
