"In the arms of the angels
Fly away, from here
From this dark, cold, hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear"- In The Arms Of An Angel
"Amber, please try and get some sleep. You'll make yourself ill with worry. Please, for me?" I asked, still rubbing her back as she sat on the edge of the bed and stared into space.
"I cant," she replied blankly.
"Hey, I know it's tough. She's your best friend. But, could you imagine how heart broken she'd be if she knew what she was doing to you. You need to do everything you can to be strong for her, she needs you more than ever right now..." I sighed, sitting up next to her.
"You're right, I'm just being selfish, I'm so stupid. I don't know how I can possibly be thinking about me when this is going on..." Amber sighed, slumping her shoulders.
"Don't be silly, you're not having the easiest of rides either. I know id be the same. But you just need to make every second with her count, got it?" I asked.
"Got it!" She smiled.
"Cool, now I don't think Luke's coming back if I'm honest. I mean, I could put money on him being asleep in your spot right now, should we go and check?" I chuckled.
"Yeah!" Amber whispered, getting to her feet and adjusting her top. The pair of us tiptoed to the door. We peeped round, I was right. Luke's giant body lay curled up in the bed, I could hear his loud, heavy breathing from here.
"How she can sleep next to that, I'll never know!" I laughed, shaking my head.
"There goes my bed then!" Amber chuckled.
"Hey, there's one there, you can share with me. And at least Molly's okay. I'm sure you can put up with me for a night now that you know she's okay!" I smiled.
"That's true!" Amber shrugged sleepily.
"You could just jump in with me if you want? It's kinda cold tonight and you're dressed for summer!" I teased, maybe I was being a bit too forward.
"Alright..." Amber smiled and followed me back towards my bed. We both climbed in together and I slotted into her body perfectly. She swept her hair out of my face and over her shoulder. I nuzzled into her neck.
"Sweet dreams!" I whispered.
"Night Calum, sleep well," she replied sleepily and we both drifted off to sleep...
The next morning
I stretched and yawned in my bed. I rolled over to find myself pressed again Calums bare chest. Holy shit!
"Morning!" He yawned sleepily.
"Morning! Thank you for keeping me warm!" I smiled.
"Pleasure!" Calum laughed as he wrapped his warm arms around me. This is a bit nice!
"Should we go and check on them pair?" I asked and pointed at the door.
"yeah, could do?" Calum asked and flicked the cover off. We walked over to the door and peered round. It looked like Luke hadn't moved. We walked in further and a huge smile spread across my face.
"Look at this!" I smiled excitedly at Calum. Molly was lay a little further down the bed than Luke and curled perfectly into the shape of his body. She looked so happy and content. And to make things cuter, Luke's arm was over her and her hand was held in his.
"That's a bit cute?" Calum smiled.
"Isn't it just!" I smiled and stretched, raking my fingers through my messy hair.
"At least everyone got some sleep in the end! Busy day today!" Calum smiled, rubbing his hands together excitedly.
"Oh yeah, what's the plan?" I asked.
"We're heading to Leeds today, Oooh and you'll get to meet One Direction this afternoon too, they're pretty cool!" Calum smiled and my heart fluttered a little.
"One Di-" I began excitedly.
"Oh please don't go all creepy fan girl on me?" Calum teased.
"Eeeek! I won't, promise!" I sniggered, pursing my lips together.
"We'll see! Now go get changed in the bathroom or something, we need to head out soon..." Calum smiled.
"Alright, alright!" I laughed and strutted off to the bathroom with a pile of clothes.
"Molly... Molly?" A voice whispered.
"Amber?" I croaked, feeling weak and brittle.
"No, you silly goose!" A male voice replied, Australian... What the... Then i remembered, its Luke Hemmings, Luke Hemmings is in my room to wake me up. I looked down to see my hand in his and saw that I was in my red knickers, I felt my face turning a similar colour.
"Morning!" Amber called walking past with a pile of clothes.
"What, why, where are we going?" I asked, sitting up and shaking.
"Whoa!" Luke laughed nervously and sat up to support my back. "We're going to Leeds, we're performing tonight with 1D, you lie back down and I'll pack your bag up and then we can get you dressed..." Luke smiled sweetly, his blue eyes twinkling into my own.
"I can get me dressed!" I added, emphasis on the 'I'.
"That's what I meant!" Luke stammered nervously.
"I'm sure you did!" Amber added, waltzing back into the room in a vest and joggers.
"what's that supposed to mean?" I asked.
"Never you mind!" Luke laughed, flicking the covers off, sticking his tongue out at Amber as he did so and walking across to his room, ruffling his hair.
"Amber!" I hissed, beckoning her over as Luke plodded out sleepily.
"What was he doing in here?" I cringed.
"Who... Luke?" Amber smirked.
"No... The Easter bunny... Yes Luke?!" I giggled.
"Do you not remember what happened?" Amber asked.
"No, what do you mean? What happened?" I frowned.
"Molly you had a really bad turn in the night, I freaked out and Luke came in to see you. I came back to check and he was fast asleep next to you, arms wrapped around you and he stayed with you all night..." Amber smiled.
"He did... He did what?!" I gasped.
"Yep!" Amber smirked.
"What's that look for?" I frowned.
"What look?" Amber smirked more!
"That look!" I laughed.
"You know... It's the look that you give when... Y'know...!" Amber teased.
"Oh come on Amber, you're kidding right?" I cringed, shaking my head.
"Oh Molly... You didn't see the way he looked at you yesterday..." Amber sighed.
"Amber stop...!" I groaned.
"I'm just saying!" Amber smiled just as Luke walked back in.
"Back to pack your bag for you! What do you want to wear lovely?" Luke asked holding up a pair of leggings and a pair of joggers...
"Joggers please!" I smiled. Amber raised her eyebrows at me and walked into Luke and Calum's room. I scowled at her and shook my head.
"With this?" Luke asked, holding up a pale pink jumper.
"That's perfect!" I smiled.
"With your white converse?" Luke asked.
"Yeah please! Hey, you're not bad you!" I smiled.
"I do try! Here.... Put these on!" Luke laughed and flung a white bra and pair of knickers at me!
"Hey!" I cringed as Luke gave a cheeky laugh with his tongue stuck out.
"Go get dressed you!" Luke smiled at me as he sat cross-legged on the floor and folded my clothes into my case.
I walked into the bathroom and began to run the cold tap. I splashed some water on my face and reached for the towel. I looked into the mirror and was heart broken with what met my eyes. I looked withered and worn, the bags under my eyes were blue and my cheek bones were more defined than ever. I changed my clothes and the door creaked open.
"The mini bus is outside, Amber and Calum have gone down, I'll take the bags and come back for you?" Luke smiled, the smile soon faded when he saw the look on my face. "What's up love?" Luke asked, stepping in.
"Nothing, I'm... I'm okay..." I lied.
"Hey, I can tell you're not, talk to me? Are you feeling unwell again?" Luke asked, stepping over with his hand out. I took his hand and he pulled me into a hug. I buried my head into his chest and nuzzled in, trying not to cry.
"I'm sorry..." I began.
"Hey, you've absolutely nothing to be sorry for okay? Promise! We're all here for you, each and every one of us!" Luke smiled and kissed the top of my head.
"Thanks Luke..." I whispered. "Let's go?"
"Okay love, I'll get the bags and you take care of yourself?" Luke asked, smiling. I nodded.
Maybe Amber was right after all...
