I woke up at 3 am, just so I could catch my plane with Amy. I first had to get changed into sweatpants and a sweatshirt, though. I knew I was going to get jet lagged. I just ignored it, so I went to the bathroom and brushed my hair into a messy bun and walked downstairs. I made myself breakfast, and then walked back upstairs to the bathroom so I could brush my teeth. I have to admit, after eating eggs, my breath smelt so bad. It’s not even funny. I wanted to make a good impression, not a bad one.
I finished packing my stuff (toothbrush, hair brush, some clothes, and my electronics) and walked downstairs and put them by my door so I wouldn’t forget them. I had to call Amy, though. She is lazy. Like it’s so bad that it’s not even funny. So I called her. She picked up on the second ring. She sounded like she had been up for hours, nevertheless, she could run a mile. That’s how much energy she had.
“What did you eat and drink this morning? Pixie sticks and Red Bull?” I asked her.
“No, I’m just excited to meet my idols.” She said.
“Just be happy you get to see them. And how would you like it to sing with me, while being their opening act?” I asked, knowing she would love to. She has adored singing since she was three. And to top it off, she’s really good. But the funny this is that she constantly says that she sucks. That’s an understatement. She’s AMAZING. I would be lying if I said I was better than her. She’s better than me. I don’t know why she didn’t get picked to be the opening act. I have to admit, though, I kinda suck. I think they only let me be the opening act because my dad payed them.
“OMG! I would love to!” She screamed. Normal reaction out of her? No, she’s normally much louder than that. I wonder if she’s quiet just because she doesn’t want to wake her sister up. Oh, well.
“Okay I’ll be at your house in like 2 minutes,” I said into the phone. She only lives on the other side of the block, so it’s not that big of a deal.
“Okay, bye,” She said, and with that, I hung up. I put my bags into the car, and picked her up. The car ride was pretty silent, mainly because we were tired.
*Skip plane ride*
“I am so happy that the plane landed.” I said to Amy, as she was getting our things from luggage claim.
“I know right! Wait, who are we waiting for?” She asked me, kinda confused.
“My uncle. Oh, there he is!” I say, pointing to a man in a light grey suit with a red tie.
Durring the car ride to the hotel, it was a bit awkward, mainly because i’ve only seen my uncle a couple of times.
“So,” He said breaking the silence.
“Are you excited to meet the band?” He asks.
“Yeah, I guess so, I just really want to get to the hotel. The jet lag is starting to get to me,” I said truthfully.
“Okay, we’re here.” He said while helping us get our things out of the trunk.
“I’ll leave you two to unpack, goodbye. And if you need ANYTHING, just call me,” He said while handing me a piece of paper with his number.
“Okay, thank you.” I said and we went inside the hotel. We found our room, and I instantly fell asleep.
*Yeah, I know it was a longish chapter, but I'm kinda bored right now. Tell me if you like the longish chapters better. Then I will become bored more often. lol.*
