I flopped down on the bed. I was tired and jet lagged, and unpacking didn't really help all that much. My stomach growled. Guess I was pretty hungry too. I sighed and rolled off the bed. I quietly walked down the hall and found Luke on the couch. The TV was on but he wasn't watching it, his eyes where closed. He was snoring softly and he looked so peaceful. I didn't want to wake him up, so I decided I should probably just go make food myself.
I looked through his fridge which was basically empty, as well as the pantry. I sighed and walked back into the living room. I was about to walk back to the guest room and just go to sleep but as I turned to walk down the hall, my stomach growled again, loudly.
" Delilah? " Luke asked groggily.
I frowned. " Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up. " I said.
He shook his head. " No, it's okay. Are you hungry? " he asked, more awake now.
I nodded and shifted on my heels. I felt needy.
" Well we gotta go get some food from the store or something, there's no food here. I haven't been in Sydney for quite a while. " he said, sitting up and rubbing his eyes.
I nodded. He stood up and grabbed some keys off the wall. He motioned for me to follow him and we walked to the elevator. When we got to the lobby, there where a bunch of biker guys standing around in there that weren't there earlier. Luke grabbed my waist and pulled me to his side. I was surprised by his gesture, and I glanced at him.
" Just go with it " he whispered.
I relaxed and got closer to him. The guys where creepy and they where eying me like I was a prize that they intended on winning. I heard a few whistles, which made me scoot even closer to Luke. When we got to the parking lot, he didn't let go. I didn't question him though, those guys where weird.
When we finally got to his car, he let go of me and got in the driver side. I recognised the car as the black camaro that Ashton was driving before. I was confused but got in anyways.
" What was that all about? " I asked.
" Don't worry about those losers. All they do is hit on every lady that walks through the door. " he said.
" Wow. " I said. " Hey, isn't this that Ashton guy's car? " I asked.
He laughed. " No, it's mine. They just like to use it when I'm not here. "
" Why don't you live here? " I asked, looking out the window.
" You sure do ask a lot of questions. I wish I would've known that before I brought you here. " he smirked.
I rolled my eyes. After a moment of silence, I spoke again. " Are you gonna answer me or not? "
He sighed. " I don't want to answer that question, okay? "
I glanced at him then back out the window. " Fine. "
I couldn't be mad though, I didn't tell him about why I ran a way from home. I wonder why he ran away. I decided not to ask, he probably is already annoyed with me. I tend to annoy people.. I don't even mean to.
We arrived to a small grocery store and walked inside. Luke grabbed a buggy and I looked around. There weren't a whole lot of people here, and it was sort of small. I followed Luke down an aisle as he grabbed food. I was just blindly following him around, I had no idea where anything was or what we where buying.
I was brought out of my thoughts when my phone started buzzing in my back pocket. Without looking at the caller ID, I picked up.
" Hello? "
" Hello, Delilah. " a voice said in a sinister tone.
My heart dropped and a gasped.
" Dad? "
