1. When it started
It was a Saturday morning in May. I was sleeping, like normal when I heard screaming. My eyes flicked right open, I looked around my room, everything looked normal. I jumped out of bed and ran to the window. I picture a 4 way bike crash but not some people dresses as zombies. "Get out of the street you MORONS!" I screamed out the window. The boys turned toward me and started to slump toward my house. "Go Away!" I screamed again but they slumped closer and closer. "You idiot, they are real!! DON'T LET THEM BITE YOU" my neighbor called out. I was about to yell back he was being stupid but I remember a cause of zombies in Atlanta so I didn't reply but now I have a problem. "BANG BANG!" the zombies had crashed through my front door.
"Crap!" I mutter. I turn around and run toward the attic. I pulled the door down and quickly climbed the ladder and when I made it to the top, I pulled it up. I crawled away from the door. I burst out crying. My whole family was out today and they are either dead or walking dead. "Tap Tap." I turn my head to the window. "Psst!" a voice hushed. I quickly crawl to the window and flung it open. It was my neighbor James, he was my age, and in my grade. He was also home because today was Teacher Planning day. "What?" I hushed. "I am going to get you out of here, come on!" he groaned. He held out his hand. I had the urge to back away but I had no choice. I grabbed his hand and he helped me out the window. I wobbled on to the roof. "So..." I whispered.
"Look, they might attack with loud noises but at a normal talking level, they can't hear." James grumbled under his breath as he slid down the roof.
"Hey! Where are you going?" I ask as he jumps to the next roof.
"Come on, I will catch you." he said loudly. I got down and sat on the top of the roof. I slowly slid down the shingles until I reached the gutter. James held out his hands. "Come on, we don't have much time, it will get dark in about 4 hours and thats when the most zombies come out. I sat up and jumped into James arms. He caught me so gracefully and held me tight. "Thanks.." I whispered. He let go, which almost sent me off the roof. "Careful." He grumbled and he opened his sunlight and jumped down. "Come On!" he called. I rolled my eyes
