Not an ordinary summer

Hello, my name is Luke Hemmings. I'm 18 years old and just an ordinary guys from Australia. At least, I was just an ordinary guy. Now, I'm the leadsinger of the band 5 Seconds of Summer - or as we also call it 5SOS. The other band members are Michael Clifford, Ashton Irwin and Calum Hood. It's actually quiet funny we're a band now - I used to hate Michael. Why are we in a band? Well, it all began on a summer camp in South Africa 4 years ago. *Sorry if I made any mistakes. English isn't my native language.

7. Heartbreak girl

Calum's p.o.v.:

The next mourning, there was another Jam Session. Luke, Ashton, Michael and I decided to do the song-write session. "Hello everyone. Welcome in the song-write session. If you want, you can form groups but you don't have to." informed Simon. The lads and I formed a group. "I'm first going to give you some basic music lesson. I know it's boring, but it's necessary to write a song." One hour and a half later, the boring explanation was finally finished. Simon thought us how to write the notes on the sheet-music. And then we could take our instruments. It's actually very hard to write a song. But eventually, I had a melody in my head and started to play. Michael and Ashton joined me. Almost half an hour later, we wrote down the chords. The Jam Session was over, but after lunch, we were free so we decided to write the lyrics then. For lunch, we ate fish, grilled on the 'braai' in some kind of sauce. Braai is similar to barbecue, but it tastes at least 10 times better. It was the best fish I've ever eaten in my life. After lunch, Ashton, Luke, Michael and I went to our hut. "Alright, maybe we can first play the song again so we know the melodie. Then, we can find some lyrics." ordered Michael; Ashton, Luke and I agreed.

"You called me up. It's like a broken record, saying that your heart hurts. That you never get over him, getting over you. And you end up crying. And I end up lying. Cos I'm just a sucker for anything that you do. And when the Phone call finally ends, you say 'thanks for being a friend!'. And we're going in circles again and again. I dedicate this song to you. The one who never sees the truth. That I can take away your hurt. Heartbreak girl. Hold you tight, straight through the dailight. I'm right here, when you gonna realise that I'm your cure. Heartbreakgirl. I bite my tongue. But I wanna scream out. You could be with me now. But I end up telling me what you wanna hear. But you're not ready. And it's so frustrating. He treats you so bad and I'm so good to you it's not fair. And when the phone call finally ends. You say 'I'll call you tomorrow at 10'. And I'm stuck in the friendzone again and again. I dedicate this song to you. The one who never sees the truth. That I can take away your hurt. Heartbreak girl. Hold you tight, straight through the daylight. I'm right here. When you gonna realise that I'm your cure. Heartbreakgirl. I know some day it's gonna happen. And you finally forget the day you met him. Sometimes you're so close to your confession. I gotta get it through your head. That you belong with me instead. I dedicate this song to you. The one who never sees the truth. That I can take away your hurt. Heartbreak girl. Hold you tight, straight through the daylight. I'm right here, when you gonna realise that I'm your cure. Heartbreak girl. I dedicate this song to you. The one who never sees the truth. That I could take away your hurt. Heartbreak girl. Hold you tight, straight through the daylight. I'm right here, when you gonna realise that I'm your cure. Heartbreak girl." Within a fiew hours, we were finished and we wrote down everything. We were pretty proud of ourselves and couldn't wait for the Jam, even though it's still a week.

Laura's p.o.v.:

It was one of those free afternoons so I grabbed my guitare and went down the lake. I sat down next to a tree and started to play a little. "Hey." Someone behind me said. I turned around and saw Calum. "Hey." "What are you doing here on your own?" he asked. "Just relaxing." "Do you want to sing?" "You want to hear me sing?" I asked; half laughing. "Yeah." "Uhm, fine. But don't blame me if you're deaf." I replied. "It can't be that bad." He said smiling. Calum is such a cute, sweet guy. Really. I started to play the guitare and sang the song 'Good bye' by Miley Cyrus. I love that song. Calum stared at me the whole time. "Wow. That was beautiful." "Thanks." "And I'm not deaf." He added smiling; I laughed. "You should sing that on the Jam." suggested Calum. "What?" "Yeah, sing it on the Jam. Everybody will love it!" "And what if they don't?" I asked; Calum lifted his shoulders. "So what? Will you sing on the Jam? Please? Please do it for me!" Begged Calum with his puppy eyes. "Fine. But just for you." "Yay!" Exclaimed Calum and he hugged me.
