Night, with its incessant blackness
harboring demons and nursing fears
is vanquished with every rebirth of the sun, come morning.
The terrible gusts, deafening booms, foreboding clouds
of a thunderstorm
are always overrun by placid blue skies.
Winter, which seems to efface all hope
as it leaves the world in a barren cloak of gray
never survives spring's reawakening,
during which the world once again explodes with green.
Become the sunrise;
Shine your light on the sleeping souls of others
who fail to experience life's beauty.
Become the calm air;
Envelop the troubled in a soothing embrace
that will erase fears and distress.
Become the warmth;
Embrace those with cold hearts,
melt away contempt.
Change for the better
because darkness is seldom eternal.
