London sits on the lounge watching cartoons as I pack the dishes away from breakfast and yesterday, sure enough Louis showed up this morning for breakfast, and we had sat at the dining table, he stacks the used placemats on the bench.
“We ever going to talk about the other night?”
“What’s there to talk about?” I ask as not looking at him, he lets out a laugh and I turn to see his now sitting on a stool.
“You’ve still got a body on you.” I just look at him, not knowing what to say, “Your turn.”
“My turn for what? To boost your ego, your one of them guys now are you? What happen to high school when you said you’d never turn into one of them?”
“Im not like that, Ellen.”
“You sure?” he raises an eyebrow at me, “What?”
“Shouldn’t I be asking you that?” I frown in confusion, “don’t frown.” I stop frowning and stand back against the counter.
“Asking me what?”
“What is the problem?”
“Nothing is the probable, oh wait, im mistaken there is a probable.” I lower my voice, “We had sex.”
“I don’t see the problem.” My lips part slightly as I gape at him.
“You cheated on your girlfriend Louis.” he holds my eye, not holding any remorse after my statement, I watch him for a moment and im positive I detected the slightest of shrugs, “Did you ever cheat on me?” I ask softly and his eyes widen.
“No.” he shakes his head, “Never.”
“So what it’s just a famous thing?” he laughs, “Your too good for everyone now, one girl isn’t enough.” He shakes his head.
“It isn’t like that.”
“Then what is it like?” I ask, my hands gripping the bench in front of me as I lean over slightly, his eyes on mine.
“It doesn’t concern you.” My eyebrows shot up and I scoff.
“It doesn’t concern me?” I ask, “You had sex with me, Louis, you have a girlfriend and you cheated on her.” He stands from his chair grabbing his things.
“Im not talking about this with you, Ellen.” I follow him to the door.
“What im not the only one?” he shakes his head as he gets out the door, I grab the door as he goes to close it and I step a foot out, he presses the elevator button, “You say it doesn’t concern me, you should be saying it didn’t because this is my business now, Louis.” he retreats to the stairs and I let out a laugh, “Coward.” I shout and step back in the apartment slamming the door. I don’t get three steps back into the apartment before there’s a pounding on my door, I turn fully aware it’s going to be Louis and open the door.
“Eleanor’s cheating on me, okay?” he is on the verge of shouting but not quite there yet, my lips are parted as I steer at him, his eyes hard and im not sure if his angry at me or her and I shake my head.
“Louis, so are you.” I say quietly not meeting his gaze.
“Once.” He says firmly, “Two days ago and that’s because I love you more than I do her, actually I don’t love her at all. She’s been cheating on my almost our whole relationship, she only stays with me because I buy her nice things.” I shake my head, not knowing what to say, “Do you understand why it doesn’t concern you?”
“Why are you still with her?” im frozen in place, I don’t know what to do with my hands as that stay straight at my sides.
“I didn’t want to be alone.”
“You have the boys, Louis. You weren’t going to be alone.” Unexpectedly he wraps his arms around my body his face buried into the crock of my neck, I stubble back slightly before wrapping mine around him, one arm folded over his shoulders the other in his hair, holding him to me. “Do you want to come back in?” I ask and he pulls away and nods, I give him a tight smile and step to the side letting him walk past me, he takes a seat on the lounge beside London who looks like she hasn’t got a clue about what just happened.
London is curled up to my side on the lounge, the slightest of snores falling from her mouth as Louis and I watch the movie we had playing for her before she fell asleep, Louis had been here most of the day, it being almost three, im surprised London didn’t crash earlier. I gently gather her in my arms and stand walking her limp body into the bedroom, delicately laying her down and pulling the blanket over her small frame and entering the main room again.
“Can we talk about something?” I ask as I sit back on the lounge.
“What?” Louis looks at me.
“Why don’t you just brake up?”
“With Eleanor?” I nod, “And start dating you?” I see a trace of a smile.
“That’s your disition.” I nod; he lets out a beaten sigh.
“Because Ellen, we were told that at the start of all the One Direction business that if we are leaving someone we can’t start with someone new instantly. They told us it was bad for publicity.”
“But how can they have a say in your privet lives?”
“Our lives are anything but privet, Ellen.” he pauses before looking back towards me from the window, “I would do it. I mean, brake up with Eleanor for you but.” He shrugs, “I don’t want you and London getting harassed by the fans and especially the paparazzi.” I nod.
“I understand. And I wouldn’t want it either, it’s not the ideal way I want my daughter growing up.”
“Right.” I nod, “It’s a bit different, Louis.”
“You’ll get used to it.” I smile and a moment later Louis’ lips are one mine, I kiss back, my hands fisting his shirt as his hand cups the back of my neck, holding me to him, our tongues dancing in a gentle embrace, my eyes closed as we pull away my forehead on his, my breath heavy as I inhale his scent.
“You still use the same cologne.” I state and he laughs.
“How do you know that?” I look at him smiling at me.
“I got you it for your eighteenth.” I remind him, “You wore a really cheap bitter one before that.” I tell him, “I didn’t really like it.” I shrug at his expression, “It made my nose itchy.”
“Thanks.” He says amused, and I smile innocently at him, tracing my finger down his left arm.
“Sorry.” I pout and he leans in pressing a kiss to my lips.
“Don’t pout.” I pout further.
“Why? Doesn’t Louis like it?” I bit my lips as he watches me, his eyes hungry, when he goes to kiss me I put my index finger to his lips, “Did you know that you’re more solid and now you’re really uncomfortable.” I state, “Now can I pout?” he grins at me, an eyebrow rose.
“Are you saying I used to be fat?” I shake my head.
“I’m trying to find an excuse to pout.”
“Still the funny one, aren’t you.” He says nuzzling my cheek with his nose, making me giggle when he fluttered his lashes on my cheek.
As I sit against Louis’ body, his arms crossed over my chest as we watch TV a though occurred. “Louis.”
“Mmm?” he asks mindlessly.
“Do you and Eleanor do things like this?” I ask and I feel him tense slightly, at what I don’t know.
“The butterfly kisses, the teasing jokes.” He shrugs.
“I would try, she wasn’t really into it.”
“Into it?” I feel him nod.
“She is the complete opposite to you.”
“Well I am Australian.” I joke and he lets a laugh go, nuzzling into the back of my neck, leaving a kiss, I turn my head back, my hand hooking around his neck and pulling him in for a kiss, I have no clue what this is going to do to us. I understand why he can’t be with me soon and I understand that he doesn’t want London and I having fans and paparazzi all over us, I don’t want it either, especially for London, she is too young and still doesn’t know who Louis really is.
