Three days later
My family and I were going out for lunch before I head out of the country, I get ready before waiting for London to wake, I feed her and get her dressed, placing her in the car seat in the back of my Green four door Jeep Wrangler, a small stuffed animal toy in her grasp as I get in the driver’s side starting the car and leaving the apartment complexes car park, as we sit at a set of lights an all too familiar song starts to play, when I look in the revue mirror, London is moving to the beat of the song, the song her dad and his mates sing. The song ends and a comment is made about how they ended their first would tour with a bang last night, and I’m caught in my thoughts as another song progresses to play. It isn’t long until we are pulled up outside the restaurant, I gather London out of the back and place her on the ground, her hand is taken in mine as we make our way towards the restaurant, walking past the person at the front of the place after spotting my family and making my way over, everyone greeting us before my aunty had London in her arms, I take a seat beside my mum and a spear chair with a booster block sat on it for London and I join into the convocation my family are having.
Two days later
Surprisingly for a Sunday the beach wasn’t too packed, finding a nice sunning spot to place our stuff down, Tegan and Claudia laid their towels in the sun while I set up a beach umbrella, not wanting London to burn. After I applied sun block to London’s and my skin we all made our way down to the water, Tegan, Claudia and I standing in a triangle and telling London to swim the short distance between us, when she got board of that we went out a little further, I held her in my arms lifted her out of the water when a wave came, her musical laugh casing us all the laugh along with her, as if it was contagious. London had always been a fan of the beach, even when she was younger she would always be at her happiest at the beach, as the day dragged on and people arrived and left the beach, the girls and I lay in the sun tanning while London is lied on a towel under the umbrella where the sun isn’t beaming on her fair skin.
“Four days.” Tegan mumbles into her arm, I prop myself up on my elbows and push my sunglasses further up my nose as I look over the horizon.
“I know, I can’t believe im going back after almost three years.” I shake my head and look towards London, her small body only lying in her swimming costume, one similar to mine which was given to us as a gift from Tegan.
“Do you think you will run into any of them?” Claudia asks and I shrug.
“It’s a possibility, I mean, Liam might still live in the same apartment.”
“You should get me Niall’s number.” I turn to Tegan and she’s already looking at me.
“What makes you think I’m gonna see him?” I ask amused.
“I don’t know, if you do because his seriously hot.” I laugh and look back towards the water, the couples and families in the water, some kids sitting on the shore playing with the sand and im sure one of us will be dragged down there later by London to make a sand castle.
“Mummy, can I have a dwink?” I turn to London to see she is sitting up, I smile at the way she asked and shuffle towards her, I grip a bottle from my bag and open it, taking a sip first to make sure the hot weather hasn’t caused it to go warm before letting her take a drink from the straw.
