I woke up the next morning with a pounding headache and cold sweat beading on my forehead.
"Unnh," I groaned weakly, sitting up a little too quickly, causing my head to spin rapidly.
"How you feeling Lukey?" asked Ashton gently, pushing open the bedroom door.
"Give me a minute Ash, sat up too quickly.." I groaned quietly, blinking rapidly to clear my vision.
A few minutes later, I could finally see straight and I noticed that Ashton was looking at me with a concerned look on his face.
"I'm fine.. See?" I said quietly, flashing him a half hearted smile.
Ashton was about to reply when there was a knock at the door. Ashton left my bedroom to go and see who it was and I clutched my head slightly, a headache starting to build.
"Ash, how's Luke doing?" I heard Michael ask from outside the door.
Ashton said something quietly and I couldn't make out the words. A few moments later, Calum, Michael and Ashton came into the bedroom.
"Hey Lukey, you feeling better?" asked Calum gently, sitting beside me on the bed.
"Oh yeah, loads.." I lied quietly, faking a smile.
"You look awful.." chimed Michael in concern, feeling my forehead.
"Luke.." said Michael quietly, his mouth tight with concern.
"What? I'm fine.." I grumbled weakly, my head pounding.
"You're burning up.." said Michael gently, his eyes wide.
"I'm just warm from being in bed, I'll go have a shower and I'll be fine.." I said grumpily, grabbing my clothes for the concert and heading into the bathroom.
After my shower, I dried myself off and got dressed, still feeling feverish and the headache worsened. I took a step to leave the bathroom and my knees gave out, sending me to the floor, everything going black.
"Luke? Luke are you ok in there?" asked Michael gently, his voice drawing me back.
"I'm fine.. Be out in a minute.." I groaned weakly, opening my eyes and pulling myself into a sitting position.
I headed out of the bathroom and into the living room where the other three boys were waiting for me. I was still quite dizzy and I only just got to the couch before my vision started to darken again.
"You gonna be ok tonight? You look worse than before.." observed Calum with concern, moving over so I could sit down.
"I'm alright, just a cold.." I mumbled wearily, my head pounding.
About 4 hours later it was time to go to the arena for our next show. I could feel myself growing weak but I went on stage anyway.
"H-hey everyone!" I stammered loudly, blinking rapidly to clear my vision.
The crowd screamed in response and I winced slightly, the noise making my head throb. We made it through our set and headed off stage.
"Rocking show tonight!" said Ashton loudly, a smile crossing his face.
"It was pretty good.. You guys go, I'll catch up in a minute.. Gotta go to the bathroom.." I said wearily, feeling dizzy and weak.
The boys nodded and headed out towards the car and I headed towards the bathroom. When I got there, I looked in the mirror. My face had drained of almost all colour and there were large dark circles under my eyes. I noticed that I was also shivering but my skin felt hot to the touch. Maybe I should have told the others I was sick. I headed out of the bathroom door and hoped that one of them had come looking for me so that I could tell them. Halfway down the small corridor outside the toilets however, I was hit with an intense dizzy spell that sent me to the floor. The last thing I remember is the room spinning around me and then everything went black.
