"Luke, time to get up.." I said groggily, rubbing sleep out of my eyes lazily.
Luke groaned weakly and cracked his eyes open slightly. He looked exhausted. There were large dark circles under his eyes and he could barely even keep his eyes open.
"Lukey, maybe you should stay in bed a while.. You look tired.." I said gently, sitting on his bed.
"I'm ok.." said Luke weakly, sitting up slightly.
"You look sick, maybe we should call a doctor.." I said with concern, feeling worried for our youngest band mate.
"I'll be fine.. Just need to keep going. It's nothing..." said Luke weakly, getting out of bed and headed to the kitchen.
"Morning boys!" yelled Michael loudly as he came into the room.
"M-m-morning.." yawned Luke tiredly, putting the kettle on.
"Is he alright?" asked Michael quietly, stepping aside to let Calum into the room.
"I have no idea.. I think he's sick.." I said quietly, quite worried about Luke.
Luke made us all a cup of coffee and set the cups down on the table. He sunk slowly into a chair and sipped his coffee with half closed eyes. Michael shot me a worried look and Calum was also looking concerned.
"Lukey, you don't look well..." said Michael gently, sitting beside him at the table.
"I'm ok, I'm just a little tired.." said Luke weakly, blinking rapidly. "We don't have a concert today anyway... I'll just rest.."
"Maybe you should head back to bed.." said Calum gently, sitting beside him.
Luke nodded and stood up shakily, supporting himself on the table. Michael, Calum and I watched as he stumbled to his room and closed the door slightly.
"Ash, I'm worried about him.." said Michael quietly, hanging his head a little.
"Me too.. He's really not well.." I said quietly, sitting down on the couch.
"What should we do?" asked Calum quietly, sitting beside me.
"I'll keep checking on him.. If he gets really bad, I'll call a doctor.." I said quietly, going to check on Luke.
I gently pushed the bedroom door open and noticed Luke had fallen asleep without pulling the sheets up. I noticed he was shivering quite violently so I pulled the covers up gently and left the room quietly.
"How is he?" asked Michael quietly as I sat back on the couch.
"He must've been exhausted.. He fell asleep before he even pulled up the covers.." I said quietly. "But I think something is definitely wrong.."
"What makes you say that, Ash?" asked Calum in confusion.
"The room isn't cold at all and he was shivering a lot..." I said wistfully, beginning to think that Luke was very ill.
"Should we call a doctor?" asked Michael with a tone of concern in his voice.
"Let him sleep for now, we'll see how he is when he wakes up.." I said quietly, hoping that Luke would be alright after his rest.
About 4 hours later, Luke came out of the bedroom.
"Hey Lukey, how are you feeling?" asked Michael gently, pulling out a chair for him.
"Not great, honestly.. But I'll be fine for the concert tomorrow.." said Luke weakly, sinking into the chair.
"Maybe we should postpone it.." said Calum quietly, sharing my concern for our youngest band mate.
"I'll be ok.. By morning I'll be fine..." said Luke quietly, sounding a little impatient.
Michael opened his mouth to say something and I shook my head slightly at him causing him to slowly close his mouth. Calum stifled a small laugh as Michael pulled a face at me. Luke gave a low chuckle and coughed weakly.
"Lukey, are you alright?" I asked gently.
"Y-yeah I'm fine.." croaked Luke weakly, swallowing thickly.
"Is your throat sore?" asked Michael gently, looking over to him.
"A bit.." mumbled Luke quietly, coughing again.
"We should call the doctor.." said Calum quietly, reaching for the phone.
"No, I'm fine.. Just a cold guys.." said Luke impatiently, trying to stand up.
He held onto the table to steady himself and headed back into the bedroom, closing the door behind him. Hopefully, he could sleep it off and be ok for tomorrow's concert. However, I had my doubts.
