3. Master & Servant

As the sun rose into the blue sky, it marks a brand new day and something happened to the mountains of Kunji that surprised the villagers. For the first time in 300 years, the sun shone into the caves, casting away the darkness. The little boy opened his eyes and he couldn't believe what he saw. He blinked twice to make sure he wasn't dreaming and pinched his cheeks.

"I can see!" The little boy exclaimed in surprise. He sat up and looked all around him. He thought that he would see skeletons lying all around him, but there were none. He was astonished to see that the caves that should be covered in darkness was now covered in light from the exposed sun outside. "What happened?"

The boy looked around to see where the monster was and realized that he was covered in someone's long crimson hair. The boy touched it with his fingers. It's so silky and beautiful. Then, he looked beside him and his eyes widened. There, in front of his eyes, laid a bare human. I don't remember coming here with a man.

The boy touched his pale face. It's the first time I ever seen someone with such pale skin. He realized that the man wasn't wearing any clothes and placed his long cloak over him. He smiled. It fits him!

Suddenly, the crimson-haired man opened his eyes. He saw the little boy staring at him with such happy face. "What is it boy? Why are you staring at me?"

The boy's eyes widened as he recognized the voice. "You are that monster!"

The man was confused as he thought the boy must be dumb. "We just met yesterday. Why are you so surprise?" Then, he felt something was different and quickly sat up. He looked at his whole body and was astonished. "What!!!! Why is my body like this?! What happened to me!!!?"

He looked at his human feet and wriggled them. He looked at his human hands and moved his fingers. I'm a human! How can this be?! Never in 300 years have this happened to me. So, why now?

The boy suddenly cupped the man's face with his little warm hands. He looked deep into his eyes. "Your eyes...they're amethyst! I have never seen anyone with such pretty eyes!"

The man widened his eyes as he just realized that the boy can see. "Boy, you can see?"

"Yep! I don't know why. When I woke up, I suddenly began to see. I've been blind since I was a baby, so this feels like a dream to me." The boy warmly smiled. He stood up and suddenly began to run around. The man was puzzled. Then, he saw that the scars on the boy's body were gone.

"Boy, your scars? They disappeared?"

The boy looked at his arms. He could see no chain marks on his wrists and could see no scars. "No wonder I feel so happy." He started to run around in circles again. "I feel so energetic! This the first time in my life that I felt like this."

"Boy you should stop or you will grow dizzy." The man said and soon enough, the boy collapsed from dizziness. The man quickly got up, wore the long black cloak and picked up the little boy. "See, what did I tell you?"

The boy cheerfully smiled and laughed heartily. He placed his arms around the man's neck. "You're not a monster anymore. Isn't that great?"

The man thought for a moment. "I don't know, but I feel different. I have never thought that I would turn into a human." Suddenly, he realized that he was still chained. "I guess it is my fate to dwell in here forever."

The boy felt great sadness from the man. He jumped down from his arms and felt the golden chains. He thought it was heavy, but it wasn't at all. The golden chains appeared to have mysteriously weakened. The boy held the chains tightly in his warm hands. Can't I do anything to free him? He doesn't deserve this. Suddenly, to both the man and the boy's surprise, the golden chains shattered into little bits.

"The chains...broke." The boy smiled as he wondered how can the golden chains that's been binding a monster for 300 years suddenly shatter like that? It was a mystery. He turned to the man and his eyes widened as tears flowed down the man's cheeks.

"H-how? W-why? For 300 years I was binded by these heavy golden chains. I couldn't break it no matter what I do. So, why?" The man couldn't understand anything anymore. Why did he suddenly turned into a human now and why was he suddenly free now? And also the little boy in front of him, he could see and his scars disappeared. This all happened because he met the boy and the boy met him. Was it fate?

The boy cupped the man's teary face with his hands and wiped the tears away with his small thumb. "Your tears...they are warm." He pulled the man's face into his chest and gently said. "Don't cry, don't cry. Isn't this great? You are finally free. You don't have to be binded here in these caves anymore and be feared by anyone anymore. You are not a monster anymore."

The man closed his eyes as the boy's gentle words gave him a sense of freedom. He stopped crying and said, "But, now what do I do? I'm finally free, but I don't know what to do with my life anymore."

The boy looked at him face to face. "Then, stay with me."

The man's eyes widened. He looked into the boy's golden eyes. So that's the color of his eyes. It's so beautiful like the color of a gemstone. The man gently pushed him away. "I have killed thousands of people. I'm sure you don't want to be with someone like me."

The boy looked at him with serious eyes. "It's true that you have killed many people and nobody can bring them back to life anymore, but you don't have to kill anyone anymore. Starting from now, don't kill."

The man's eyes widened and he suddenly laughed. "I have never met someone like you. But, are you sure about this? What happens if I do kill? Will you leave me?"

The boy shook his head. "Before that happens," The boy warmly smiled. "I will stop you."

"But, I admire human blood. I thirst for it."

"Then drink mine." The boy firmly said. The man's eyes widened, "If you are thirsty for blood, drink mine. Don't drink anyone else but mine."

The boy looked at him with a serious face. "Do you know what you are saying? I might end up killing you, you know?"

"I do know what I am saying." The boy touched his long crimson hair. "I believe in you that you won't kill me. After all, if you wanted to, you could have killed me when I was asleep, but you didn't."

The man was taken a back. He was speechless. It's true. I could have killed him last night, but instead, I didn't want to kill him. No, I don't know why but I don't ever want to kill this innocent boy. He smiled at him. "I lost."

The boy smiled.

"But, what are we going to do now?" The man asked.

"Well, we can travel around the world. After all, you have been stuck here for 300 long years. You must want to know what's out there, right?"

The man hadn't thought of that. That's not a bad idea.

Suddenly, the boy exclaimed, "Oh!"

"What is it?" The man asked.

"I haven't told you my name, yet. My name is Miro Wellz. What is yours?" The boy asked.

"Behemoth." The man said. I see. Miro, huh? What a unique name he has.

"Behemoth..." The boy was in deep thoughts. "I like that name."

The man's face suddenly turned red. It was the first time anyone has ever said that. This boy...I have decided. He will be my master.

The boy's eyes widened as Behemoth kneeled down in front of him. "What are you doing?"

"There are many different types of monsters in this world. One of them is the servant type. Each of the servant monsters gets to choose his or her own master to serve for their whole entire life." Behemoth said. "I choose you, Miro, to be my master."

Miro was surprised. "But, I don't want you to serve me. I want us to be equals."

Behemoth shook his head. "I want to do this. I don't know If I ever served a master before since I can't remember anything before the day I was chained inside this cave."

"You can't remember anything?"

"No, but," Behemoth looked up at the boy. "Please let me serve you."

The boy thought for a moment. "Are you sure about this?"

Behemoth nodded seriously.

The boy smiled as he began to see the benefits for this. If I become his master, he has to listen to what I say. That means, I can order him not to kill anyone ever again! "Alright."

Behemoth smiled. "I, Behemoth, from this day forward will serve you for eternity. No matter what, I will obey your orders and if I ever act out of your orders, you may punish me."

"I, Miro Wellz, take you in as my servant and from this day onward, I am your master." Miro said. Suddenly, sparks of light surrounded them and a triangular mark appeared below them. It blasted rays of golden lights to the sky with Behemoth and Miro being covered by the warm light. Then, Behemoth right eye turned to a golden color and a triangular mark appeared in the center of the eye with the initials "M.W" inside the triangle. A triangular mark appeared on Miro's upper right arm with the letter "B" inside.

The warm golden light and the triangular mark below them slowly disappeared and soon, they were gone. Behemoth felt his right eye. "Now, I am bind to you, master."

Miro looked at the mark on his upper right arm. It wasn't the first time he had seen a bind mark. He looked at it closely and felt like the mark had a warm kind of feeling. "Behemoth, may I give you your first order?"

Behemoth smiled. "Go ahead, master."

Miro looked into his eyes. One was amethyst and the other was golden. "Don't kill anyone ever again, no matter what happens. Do you understand?"

Behemoth looked at him and realized the reason why he agreed to become his master. He gently smiled. "Yes, master."

Miro smiled. "Let's get out of this place and find something to eat and also," Miro looked at him up and down. "You need clothes."

Thus, Miro and Behemoth's journey began! Little did they know, that them meeting together would change their whole lives. So, then, begins the story of Inseparable.
