Good Girls like Bad Boys

Hazel Owens has always been the good girl. Always kept quiet and to herself. Never stood up for herself and would let everyone around her push her around because it was the best way to not get in any sort of trouble. That is until two brothers, Luke and Ashton move to her town. They soon both find interest in her. Both seeing that there's more to her than what others see. Soon Hazel finds herself to be a part of both boys life. When they both fall for her which will she choose. Why do bad boys make good girls feel so right?

17. Chapter 14

The next day I walked happily made my way to school. Still smiling from the night before. I can’t believe I have a big brother. That I have a cute little niece that I can’t wait to meet. I walk up to the school and see Luke and Ashton leaning against the doors.

  “Hey guys” I say.

  “Hey Hazel”

 “What’s up”

“I have something to tell you guys” I say excited and they both exchange a curious look before waiting for me to continue.

I reach into my jacket pocket and pull out the picture of Harry I got from Anne. I told them about everything that had happened yesterday. They don’t say anything just stare at each other shocked every now and then.

“Wow” Luke says when I finish.

“That’s amazing Hazel”Ashton says staring between me and the picture of Harry.

The bell rings loudly above us and Ashton hands me back the photo.

“Let’s get to first period Hazel” Luke says taking my hand and pulling me inside.

Out of the corner of my eye I see Ashton look at Luke and my hand intertwined a sad expression on his face. I wanted to ask him what was wrong but Luke pulled me around the corner. His grip on my hand tightened slightly and I started to blush again and feel this tingle in my hand like I did when he touched my leg the other day. Though I felt the same way with Ashton.

I sit bored in first period trying to focus on taking notes instead of the girls in the class checking out Luke. I sigh in relief as the bell rings and I can leave and get away from Luke and the girls crowding around his desk. The rest of the day went by slowly. I really just wanted to get home. I was happy when I got to art. Ready to paint and relax. Ashton is waiting for me at our table in the back. He smiles when he sees me and suddenly the day didn’t seem so long anymore and I didn’t mind staying for another hour. I rabbed my painting and joined him. We worked beside each other in silence for a while working on our projects. When I hear him sigh I glance over at him to see he is upset about something.

“What’s wrong Ashton?” I ask him placing my hand on his tattooed arm.

“I just need you to listen to what I have to say okay” He says placing his hand on top of mine.

I stare into his beautiful hazel green eyes and nod slowly.

“Be careful around my brother. He could lead you down a bad road” He says with a stern voice.

A part of me wanted to be mad at him for trying to tell me what to do but I could tell by the pain in his eyes when mentioning his brother that there was something in Luke’s past that they didn’t want me to know about.

“Okay Ashton I will be careful around Luke” I say and he relaxes a bit giving me a warm smile.

The rest of the class we worked on our paintings in silence us both lost in our own thoughts. I was going to find out what Luke wasn’t telling me.
