Drago woke up to a strange room. He was sitting on a table, and next to him was a young girl.
She had long white hair in a braid, the ends of her bangs dyed neon pink. Her red eyes flitted over the pages of a huge book behind wire rimmed glasses. She was wearing a red tank top and khaki shorts. When Drago groaned she looked up from her book and smiled at Drago.
"Hey," she said kindly. "How are you feeling?"
Drago gave a yell and fell backwards. The girl laughed and reached out to him and picked him up. She held him in the palm of her hand and studied him.
"You're a Pyrus Dragonoid." She said. "My name's Luna Nevermore, it's a pleasure to meet you!"
"Pyrus Fusion Dragonoid to you, human." Drago shot back. Luna shook her head.
"No." she said.
"What do you mean, no?" Drago demanded.
Luna sighed. "If you were indeed a Fusion Dragonoid, which would make you one of the most powerful Bakugan on the Earth, you certainly are not now." She said, looking at her Baku-pod. "You are clearly a - for lack of a better word - normal Dragonoid."
"What?" Drago looked down at himself. It was true. And a nightmare.
He had devolved back into his original form.
"Sophie!" Luna called suddenly. "The Dragonoid is awake!"
"May as well call me Drago." Drago muttered sadly.
Another girl trooped into the room. Her pale green hair, in a long plait down her back, swayed with her movements. She was wearing a dak green singlet with black jean shorts and black runners. Her lilac eyes were filled with curiosity. She was clearly older than Luna. A green Bakugan was sitting on her shoulder.
"It's about time!" She huffed impatiently. She walked over to the table and sat down in another chair. She took a deep breath and exhaled softly, then smiled. "The name's Sophia Quinn. I assume my sister's already introduced herself?" Luna nodded. "Okay."
The green Bakugan flew of Sophia's shoulder and landed next to Drago. "I'm Ventus Fenix," She said. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Dragonoid."
"You too, I think." Drago replied uncertainly. "Where's Daniel?"
"Who?" Sophia asked, raising an eyebrow.
Sophia's eyes widened. "He's the world's best Bakugan brawler!" she cried. "That makes you Drago, right?"
"What are you doing in Australia?" Fenix asked.
"Dan and I were travelling around." Drago started to explain. "Earlier today we battled a man named Shizu, and his Bakugan Naga. That's... all I remember."
"That's not much, is it?" Sophia said sarcastically.
