Heyy! Sorry it's been a few days... We have our school election this week and I'm running. I haven't had a moment to write. I'm SO sorry that this chapter is really short but I wanted to get something up. Thanks soooo much for reading, you guys are the best. I'd loved to know what you guys think :)
I texted Elle hours ago and she hasn't got back to me. I'm starting to worry because I haven't talked to her since going out to pizza. Yeah, it's only two days, but two days is along time to not respond to a text.
I was scrolling through Instagram while eating breakfast when an iMessage notification popped up. Relief filled through me when I saw that it was Elle who texted me. She wrote:
Woah, two days and I haven't texted back... SORRY!!! Call meeee asap
I tensed when I read this. Does she have good news? It was hard to tell by what she wrote. I was really scared that it was going to be bad as I called her. She picked up right away and screeched.
"What?!" I practically screamed.
"Okay, so this is good news, I think." I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding when she told me this. "Well, Luke asked me out yesterday and he took me to this music festival thing and I had the best time and then we kissed and I reallllyyyy like him but I'm afraid that he's going to leave me like everyone else does and I want to stay friends for this reason but I actually don't want to." Wow. That was all I could think.
Finally I said, "OH MY GOSH ELLE I'M SOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!" I could hear her laugh.
"I don't know what to do though," Elle explained.
"I say give it a chance, he seems like a great guy and you like him, so don't push him away. If he asks to hang out or take you out again just don't say no. He hasn't even officially asked for you to be his girlfriend."
"Thanks..." She whispered, as if lost in thought. "I really do like him, I just don't want to get broken."
Even though she couldn't see me through the phone, I nodded. We then said goodbye to one another because she had to go to work. Wow, a lot happened for her in two days.
Spencer was coming over in a few minutes. He said that he's taking me to see the new super hero movie. Avengers? Spider-Man maybe? I don't know... He really wanted to go. We seem to always go to where he wants, but that's okay I guess. I mean I love him, he loves me, we all make sacrifices for the ones we love, right?
I tied my black hair up in a knot and threw on my toms. I was wearing light blue jeans, rolled up at the ankle with a light brown knit sweater on.
The bell rang and I opened the door to a smiling Spencer. He kissed me quickly before I grabbed my phone and we headed off to the theater.
When we arrived, the movie was about to start and no one was in the theater. Sweet. The place to ourselves.
We grab seats in the middle of the theater and the movie started seconds later. I always make sure that when I go to the movies, I get there at the exact time, that way when we get into the theater, the movies starts and I don't have to sit through the annoying previews.
Spencer was really into the movie, but I just laid my head on his shoulder and grabbed some popcorn every once on a while.
Not caring what happened in the movie, I emerged myself into my thoughts.
I promised myself that I'd get together with Elle later and I thought about how happy I was for her. Although she was nervous, you could tell that Luke liked her. It was one night, the night they first met and you could already see the way he looked at her. He looked at her like she was a princess. You could see the way his eyes soften when looking at her. Liking her was an understatement. He loved her.
Elle was oblivious to all of this though. She was worried that he'd brake her, but if anything, she'd brake him by keeping distance. I've known Elle long enough to tell that she actually loved him too. She's just keeping herself from admitting it.
Then my thoughts wandered off to Spencer. I smiled at the thought of him. He's so loving and caring, I couldn't think of spending the rest of my life with anyone else.
"What're smiling at?" Spencer then whispered.
"I was thinking of you," I said looking up at him. He smiled and kissed me on the forehead. His attention refocused on the movie and I laid my head back on his shoulder.
