*the next day*
I lay on my bed and looked up at the ceiling. Joe was leaving today. Even though, I had only met him 2 days ago and it really upset me that we couldn't spend more time together. Well, I was going to meet him today at 11:00 but it will only be to say goodbye.
I looked at my watch. 10:52. I looked in my mirror and started to do a few finishing touches to my hair.
"What are you doing?"
I turned around and saw Harry leaning against the door frame.
"What do you mean?" I said.
"Why are you making such a special effort to look nice today?"
"I always try to look nice."
"Yeah, right. You never bother with anything! You normally just tie your hair up and sit around in your pyjamas bottoms and tank top."
"I make an effort when I meet friends."
"The only difference is that you swap your pj bottoms for jeans when you meet friends. Who are you meeting today?"
I sighed and didn't answer. Harry was always like this and it annoyed me so much.
"Oh I get it! You're meeting that Sugg boy! The one you were flirting with all through the meal two days ago!"
I didn't have time for this, it was already 11:03. I ignored harry and went downstairs and saw Joe waiting there.
"Oh sorry, I didn't know you were down here!" I said, smiling.
"Yeah the door was already open so I thought I would just wait for you."
I looked at Joe's face. He didn't have his usual cheeky grin, he looked kind of sad.
"We're leaving earlier than I thought. We can't go anywhere and hang out today. I'm leaving soon now. I just came to say goodbye."
I nodded. I knew he was leaving but it oddly depressed me a lot more than it should that he was leaving so soon. It never really occurred to me that I would never see him again.
I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him. He seemed surprised but he still hugged me tight. We stayed there hugging for a while but then we heard a honk from Joe's car. They wanted him to stop saying goodbye and leave.
"I have your number, I'll call you! And who knows, Birmingham is only around 3 hours away from me. We could always meet up?" He said.
I smiled. "I would love that."
He gave me one final quick hug than ran off to his car. I waved and he waved back and even Zoe waved. I watched their car drive off.
I did feel quite upset that Joe leaving. But it was all alright, after all, he said he would call me.
