Joe held my hand in the fall and when we had crashed into the sea, he had immediately swam up to see if I was alright.
"So Skye, what do you fancy doing now?" Joe asked me.
He grinned. "Don't worry, I won't make you do anything like we just did."
"Actually, I kind of enjoyed it!" I smiled.
"So you want to do something like that now?"
I laughed and shook my head.
"I think I've had enough excitement for today." I smiled. "What do you want to do?"
He was about to answer when his phone buzzed. He looked at it and then put it back in his pocket.
"Well, Zoe just texted me saying maybe we should meet up before the beach party." He said.
"Oh sorry, I forgot to tell you! Yeah there's a beach party tonight. Would you like to come?"
"Sure, I'd love to!" I grinned at him.
"Cool. Well come to mine and Zoe's first and we'll all go together. Our villa is opposite yours."
"Sounds like a plan."
I smiled at Joe and he smiled back. Then, I went back into my family's villa and went up to my room.
A couple hours later, I started to get ready. I looked at my reflection in my mirror and it made me hate my face even more. I don't know why I wanted to look nice for this party, I guess I just wanted to make an impression.
I went into my mums room to borrow her make up since I didn't have any of my own. Nervously, I applied some black mascara and red lipstick. I kept on going with the makeup.
"Skye! Joe's here!" Harry called from downstairs.
I didn't have time to look at the final version of myself so I quickly ran downstairs without looking in a mirror. But I didn't need to, Joe's face expression told me everything.
"Is it bad?" I asked.
"No! Of course not!" He lied.
I groaned. "I know it's bad, can I borrow some of Zoe's makeup wipes?"
He grinned. "Of course."
"So, I thought I was going to be meeting you at your villa." I said, following him.
"I know, I just thought you might like to come over a little earlier."
"Okay." I smiled.
Zoe came downstairs and as soon as she saw my face, she gave a little gasp but tried to cover it with a cough.
"Hey Skye!" She smiled, not mentioning my makeup.
"Hi Zoe." I sighed. "Do you have any makeup wipes I can borrow?"
"Of course!" She smiled and tossed me some make up wipes from her handbag. "I'll re-do your makeup for you. Hold on."
Zoe ran back upstairs and I sat down and began started to take off all my makeup. Joe came and sat next to me.
"Are you going to let Zoe do your makeup?" He asked me.
"Yeah...why?" I asked.
I laughed. "Why? Is she incredibly bad at doing it?"
He grinned at me. "No, I just think you look better without any. I'm just giving you some friendly advice."
I smiled. "Thanks for the advice."
Zoe came back downstairs with a little pink makeup bag.
"Okay lets get started." Zoe smiled at me.
"Actually, we decided we'll just leave for the party now." Joe said.
"But I was going to-" Zoe said.
"Come on, we're going to be late." Said Joe, ignoring Zoe.
Zoe sighs and then smiled at me.
"Ready, Skye?" She asked me.
I smiled. "Ready."
