As the earth prison sank back into the ground, Kakashi put his hands back down. He walked over to Hana and the shook hands, a sign of friendship.
"Hana-sensei?" Hajime asked. "Care to explain?"
Hana let go of Kakashi's hand and turned to her squad. "Everyone, this is Kakashi Hatake, a Shinobi from Konoha. He was sent here on a mission."
Kurai raised an eyebrow. "And we didn't know this because...?"
Hana smiled mischievously. "You'll find out."
Tojiro groaned. "What's with the mystery twenty-four seven, sensei? It's getting annoying."
Kakashi looked at Hana. "You still do that?" He said, a hint of a smile in his voice.
"Daily." Kurai rolled her eyes. "I'm Kurai Eikyo, by the way. This is Tojiro Shiki and Hajime Zuro." She gestured to Tojiro and Hajime in turn.
"The name's Naruto Uzumaki!" One of the boys boasted. He had blonde hair, bright blue eyes and a huge grin on his face. He was wearing a black and orange jumpsuit (A/N: I think?) and he had an air of confidence. "And I'm gonna be Hokage one day!"
"Hokage?" Hajime smirked. "You might wanna learn how to shut up first.
"Look who's talking." Kurai and Tojiro said in unison.
Hana sighed. "Sorry about them."
Kakashi shrugged. "I get it with these three, too. It does get annoying."
"I'm Sakura Haruno." Said the girl with Kakashi. She had light pink hair, flashing green eyes and she was completely clad in pink. She wore her village headband in her hair, to pull it off her face. "Nice to meet you."
"You can call me Sai." Said the last person. He had dark brown hair and his eyes were even darker. He had a little smile on his face that clearly hid a lot of pain. He wore clothes not unlike that of a Konoha Anbu Black Op's.
Hana smiled that kind smile of hers. "Well, it's nice to meet all of you!" She said. "Our village isn't far, if you'd like to follow me?"
Kakashi nodded, and Hana led the way to Kinikakure. On the way there was a lot of chatter between those two.
"Hey," Naruto tapped Kurai on the shoulder. She turned around to see a confused expression on his face. "Is that Kakashi-sensei's girlfriend or something?"
Before Kurai could answer, Kakashi's voice drifted back from the front of the group: "I heard that, Naruto."
"Yeah, well..." Naruto scratched his head, "how do you two know each other so well?"
"That's a long story." Hana said, without turning around. "Not one for right now."
"Okay..." Naruto waited until Hana and Kakashi had started their conversation again before asking, "so is she his girlfriend?"
Kurai shrugged. "Dunno." She said. "Never met the guy."
"They look pretty close." Sakura commented.
"Indeed." Hajime had a little grin on his face. Kurai hit him over the head.
"Hana-sensei's business is Hana-sensei's business, okay?" She said, annoyed. Hajime straightened up and rubbed his head. Then he began fixing his hair, putting the purple strands back in place. Kurai sighed. "And you wonder why I always beat you."
Hajime glared at her. "That supposed to mean something?"
"That you spend more time doing your hair than you do practicing your jutsu." Kurai smirked slightly, and Hajime threw a punch, which Kurai blocked with her palm. "Oh, my, that hurt so much."
"Kurai, Hajime, shut up for a few minutes, won't you?" Tojiro looked sideways at them, giving them the death glare. Hajime started sweating, but Kurai ignored him, not even looking at him.
"Look who's talking." She said. "You clearly haven't heard you and Hajime go at it, have you?"
Sai, Sakura and Naruto watched the bickering squad with both interest and confusion. Then Sakura gave a small, sad smile.
"What is it, Sakura?" Naruto asked, looking sideways at her.
"It's just -" She looked at Naruto, that smile still on her face, "those three kind of remind me of you and Sasuke."
Naruto's eyes widened, then he looked away. Indeed, he and Sasuke Uchiha had argued similarly to the way the three teenagers were now. It made him sad to think about the old days.
"We're here!" Hana called from up ahead. Hajime, Kurai and Tojiro stopped arguing immediately.
Naruto looked around. "Where? In the middle of the forest?
"I don't see any village." Sakura agreed.
Kakashi pointed upwards, and everyone looked up, and Kakashi's team gasped. Above them, in the trees, was the village! Everybody was living in tree houses!
