"And Judith Archer." The person called my name. I stood, walking toward the testing area. The girl was a Abnegation.
"Hello. I will administer your test today." She placed an electrode on my forehead and her own. I barely noticed the mirrors.
The test was a blur. I could barely remember it.
"I'll be right back." She was gone for about five minutes. When she came back, I was staring at my reflection. "Like what you see?"
"No. I am ugly." I put it simply. "What's my results?"
"Inconclusive. You are not any of the factions. Each faction in you is very close to equal."
"That isn't right... I-I needed this to tell me what to do..."
"Don't be. This is not your fault. It is mine." I smiled.
"You'd be good at Abnegation." She smiled back at me.
"I-I'm sorry, but that would not be preferred by me. I would prefer a different faction, one that shows what I can do, and that doesn't say I'm weak. No offence."
"Abnegation was the lowest one in you, next to Candor." She smiled.
"Also, Candor and Amity are out. It's between Erudite and Dauntless. Thank you, but now I should go out by my friends. Thank you again. Goodbye."
My family kept telling me that it doesn't matter what I choose, that they'll love me no matter what. It made me want to puke.
'At least I know they aren't going to follow me to no matter what I choose.'
"Come, let's make dinner."
