5. Chapter 5

I felt the sun shinning down on my pale skin. I could hear snores filling the room. I opened my eyes to find myself facing a black drawer. Where am I? This doesn’t seem familiar? That’s when I remembered what was going on, why I was here.

I let out a small sigh before throwing the bed covers off of my curled up body. I got out of bed to find Beau still sleeping and snoring, might I add. He looked so peaceful, care free.

My tummy started rumbling. Guess I should make breakfast then. Does Beau like pancakes for breakfast? Or is he more of a egg and bacon type of person? I don’t want to wake him up and ask. I’ll make pancakes for now and if he doesn’t like them then ill make something else? For gods sake, Amelia. Stop worrying.

I searched the cupboards for some flour, salt and vegetable oil and the fridge for milk and eggs. Success, Beau had everything I needed. I found a bowl and a frying pan and began cooking.

-

I flipped the last pancake over then slid it in the white shiny china plate where all the others were placed.

“All we need now is some syrup..” I mumbled to myself. Opening the fridge letting my eyes wonder each shelf. My eyes widened when I spotted it. Thank god. I grabbed the maple syrup then closed the silver fridge door.

“What are you doing?” I heard a huskily voice come from behind me. It caused me to jump a little seeing as I weren’t expecting it. I turned around to find Beau standing in the doorway.

“I, uh, was just making breakfast. Sorry, maybe it was a bad idea…” My eyes dropped to the floor.

“Hey, no. You shouldn’t be apologising. It was nice of you.” My eyes connected with Beau’s, giving me a smile.

“I made pancakes, I weren’t sure whether you liked them or not. But, if you don’t I can always cook you something else.” I felt uncomfortable around him, he intimidates me.

“Pancakes are perfect, thank you.” He said walking over to the table placed in the middle of the kitchen. He looked at me in the eyes again, my gaze dropped back down to the floor.  “Did you sleep alright?” He asked whilst grabbing a pancake from the plate.

“Yeah, thanks. You?” I still didn’t look at him. I felt uneasy.

“Had better ones,” He mumbled.

“Why?” I asked spreading the syrup on my pancake.

“Nothing important,” He took a bite out of the pancake. “What do you want to do today?” He asked after swallowing it down.

“Uh, I don’t mind.”

“Want to meet the girls and boys? Only if you feel comfortable with it. Maybe it’s too soon, but it’s not as if you haven’t met them before.”

“Yeah, sounds good.” Maybe it’ll help regain my memory with I’m around other people then just Beau?

“Okay, I’ll give them a ring in a little while.” Beau got up and grabbed a jar of Nutella out of the cupboard.

“Nice hoodie.” Beau smirked.

“It was the only thing of mine I felt the most comfortable in.” I told him.

“That’s my hoodie.” Beau cracked a grin.

“Oh, I’ll take it off if you like.” Oh shit, I didn’t know.

“No, it’s fine. You always used to steal it and wear it anyway.” He smiled.

“Oh,” I wish I could remember everything, I hate having people telling me things I have no clue about. I feel lost. “I’ll go and freshen up.” I grabbed my plate and put in the sink.

“You sure that’s going to fill you up? You normally have 3 more.” Beau informed me.

“Um, I’m fine for now. Thanks.” I walked out of the room. Why does he make me feel like this? Maybe it’s the fact that I’ve just met him?

BEAU’S POV

Amelia didn’t feel comfortable around me, at all. I need to change that. I can’t have myself intimidating her.

I walked in the bedroom to find Amelia’s clothes on the floor. I’m guessing she’s in the bathroom. Shit, there aren’t any towels in there. I heard Mi call out my name from the bathroom.

“Beau!” She yelled, sounding panicked.

“Yeah?” I replied calmly.

“There aren’t any towels!” I didn’t have to see her to know she was freaking out. I could hear it in her voice.

“I’ll get some for you!” I yelled back. I grabbed 2 towels from the clean pile that were sitting on the chair and knocked on the bathroom door. She opened the door slightly so there was the tiniest crack. I was only able to see her eye. Come on, it’s not like I haven’t seen her naked before. But she doesn’t know that, does she? “Here,” I told her handing her the towels threw the small crack, she opened the door a bit more so they would fit threw.

“Thanks,” She said silently before closing the door again.

My phone soon started ringing from the living room.

“Hello?” I said as soon as I reached it.

“Beau, it’s Grace and Rosanna here.” The girl’s voice caused a echo.

“Hey, girls.”

“How is she doing?” Grace asked concerned.

“No improvement.” I sighed.

“That’s normal though, give her time. These things don’t wear off quickly. She’ll remember soon, I promise.” Rosanna said with hope. Hope, that’s the only thing that’s keeping me going.

“I guess so. What are you two doing today?” I asked them both.

“We were going to meet Georgia at her house. Why?” Grace replied.

“I was thinking about getting Amelia to meet you guys and the boys of course but maybe it’ll be best if she just meets you three for today, to take things slowly. What you say?” I suggested. Rosanna and Grace let out a squeal.

“Oh my god! That’ll be amazing!” Rosanna squeaked out.

“Yes! I agree, Georgia would love it too!” Grace joined in. A smile appeared on my face hearing their reactions.

“Good, I’m glad. Take it slow though. It’s a lot to take in for her so don’t put too much pressure on her and stuff.” I told them.

“That’s fine! Okay, we’ll go and pick up Georgia then we will meet you at your place.” Grace said, excitement filling her voice. “Bye, see you soon!” Rosanna sang before hanging up.

I made my way back in the bedroom so I could take a shower myself. I walked in to find Amelia in her underwear. Maybe I walked in at the wrong time?

AMELIA’S POV

“Oh my god! Beau! Get out!” I quickly got the hoodie I was wearing to cover my body. He quickly covered his eyes with his hand.

“Shit! Sorry, uh, I’ll just go out the door.” He pointed to the wall which was meant to be the door. He started walking towards the door only to walk into the door frame.

“Fuck!” He yelled out in pain. I giggled a bit but stopped as soon as I realised it was mean of me. He soon found his way out and closed the door. Thank god.

I started to search the wardrobe for some clothes. I found a top and some shorts and threw them one. I then found a pair of puma trainers (http://www.polyvore.com/amelias_day_out_with_girls/set?id=81794180). I was about to put the last shoe on when there was a knock on the door.

“Come in!” I said loudly, the door opened to reveal Beau. I flushed red as I remembered what happened a few minutes ago.

“Can I jump in the shower?” He seemed surprisingly calm about it all.

“Uh, yeah.” I looked at him puzzled.

“What’s wrong?” He asked.

“Nothing, it’s just you don’t seem bothered about when you walked in and I was, erm-”

“Na, it’s nothing I haven’t seen before.” Beau winked before stepping through the bathroom door. I felt myself turn a crimson red.

“Wait? What?! You’ve seen me in my underwear before?” I must have seemed so stupid. Beau let out a chuckle.

“Yeah.” He responded.

BEAU’S POV

She seemed so innocent, nothing like she was before. She doesn’t seem herself, well, I guess after all she has lost half of her memory. I watched her cheeks turn bright red. Oh, god. Have I just embarrassed her?

“I’ll be in the shower if you need me.” I told her before closing the door. I didn’t bother locking it, there was no point.
