“Beau, can we talk.” I asked, my eyes not leaving Kaitlyn’s for a split second.
“Uh, yeah,” He awkward responded, pulling Kaitlyn off of him. “Thank god,” I heard him mutter as we walking to the garden.
“What?” I asked.
“Kaitlyn was doing my head in,” He mumbled.
“You two seemed pretty close.” I said crossing my arms.
“Only because she wouldn’t get her clingy hands off of me,” He chuckled. I placed myself on the grass leaning on the fence, Beau followed my actions.
“Could fool me,” I mumbled.
“Amelia, Kaitlyn’s in the past.” Beau said.
“If she was in your past she wouldn’t be here right now.” Beau picked me up and placed me on his lap so we were face to face.
“She’s just an old friend,” He tried to explain.
“An old friend who you had a relationship with,” I corrected him.
“Mi nothing will happen between me and her.” He looked at me straight in the eye.
“She still has feelings for you.” I told him.
“How do you know?”
“I can tell, you’re an idiot if you haven’t realised it.” I said looking down at the ground. “She’s pretty,” I murmured.
“And you’re beautiful.” Beau said lifting my chin up. I rolled my eyes.
“No I’m not.” I replied.
“Amelia, I love YOU. Not Kaitlyn, YOU.” Beau said slowly hoping it would go into my thick stubborn brain.
“But I-” My sentence was cut off by his lips pressed gently against mine.
“Hey, babe, listen. About tonight shall I pick you up at 8 instead of 7?” I swerved my car as I wasn’t paying much attention to the road.
“Yeah, whatever. Beau, you know that thing you want to ask me? Is it something bad?” I bit my lip hoping the answer wouldn’t be ‘yes’.
“Oh course it isn’t. Why would it be?” I sighed with relief and a smile cracked on my face.
“Just wondering. Beau can I call you back or something? I’m kinda driving at the moment.”
“Ok. Drive safely. I love yo-” The last thing I heard was Beau’s voice as I went crashing into another car.
I pulled away, my eyes widening taking in everything that just happened within 2 seconds.
“Did I do something wrong? W-” This time I cut Beau off by placing my lips on his, both of us smiling into the kiss. Beau pulled away. “What was that for?” He asked grinning.
“Aren’t I allowed to kiss my boyfriend?” I asked. “Call DR Jenkins and tell him my recovery has been successful.” I said smirking. Beau’s eyes widened.
“Y-You what?” He stuttered.
“I remember,” I said grinning.
And all it took was one kiss.
