"Amelia, you are able to leave." DR Jenkins told me. Thank god, if I spent one more second in this hospital I would have gone mental. 3 days is too long.
"Who am I waiting for again?" I asked him quietly.
"Oh, right." I muttered. I was a little disappointed; it's not that I don't like Beau. He seems sweet, I just prefer to be around people I know not strangers. Well, they are strangers for me even if I have met them, once.
"Ah, here he is." DR gestured his hand over to Beau who was walking up to us. He had a smile on his face, you would think he seemed happy but his eyes suggested something different, as if he was in pain.
"Hey, all ready?" He asked me, still smiling. I nodded and started walking towards the exit door.
"Thanks for everything." I turned around and thanked Jenkins, he nodded and smiled. Beau followed me out. "Which ones your car?" I asked, staring at the hundreds of parked cars in the hospital car park. He pointed at the small regular silver car parked in the corner.
"Nice car." I told him once we reached it. He smiled.
"Thanks." He replied.
"You don't have to smile every second you know, I can tell you are just putting it on." I told him casually as I got in the passenger seat. He didn't say anything, he just ignored me. A little rude?
"Where are we going?" I tried to get a conversation going seeing as Beau wouldn't talk once in the car.
"Yeah, but where's home?" He could be a bit more specific.
"In Glenroy, we should arrive there in 3 minutes or so."
"Right..." I'm in a car with a stranger. He could be a criminal for all I know.
"Look, I'm sorry if I seem a bit off, Mi. I'm just tired." Beau yawned. Mi? Is that my nickname?
"It's fine." I smiled at him before staring back out the window, watching the cars driving past.
"And we're here." Beau pulled up in a car park. I took my seatbelt off and opened the car door.
"What do you want for dinner? Chinese? Pizza? Indian?" He asked whilst locking his car.
"I don't mind." I started to bite my nails.
"Okay, we'll get Chinese seeing as it is your favourite." But I hate Chinese?
"It is?" I questioned him, I even questioned myself.
"Yeah... We can get something else if you like?" Beau suggested.
"No, Chinese is fine." I gave him a warm smile.
After 10 seconds of waiting for an elevator it finally came. This place looks quite fancy... Nothing that i could afford.
"Beau, are you sure we live here?" I asked him. He let out a small chuckle.
Beau unlocked the front door and walked in. Woah, do we have a nice apartment. The living room had 2 long black leather sofas, massive flat screen TV and it was painted all white. A few paintings hung on the walls too, it also had wooden flooring.
"Kitchen is on right and bedroom and bathroom is on left." Beau informed me.
"Wait is there only one bedroom?"
"Yes." He replied. What? I rushed to the bedroom to find a double bed. So I sleep in the same bed as my friend which is a boy?
"What's wrong?" He came running after me.
"Are we meant to share a bed? It's a bit weird seeing as we're friends?"
"Oh, uhh, you felt comfortable with it before. Don't worry, I can sleep on the sofa."
"No, no, no! I can't ask you to do that! I'll sleep on the sofa." I argued with him. I'm not kicking him out of his own bedroom. Well, it is yours too.
"No, it's fine. I will."
"No, Beau. I will." I told him sternly. I've only met the boy for a day or so and we are already arguing. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it again. I kept staring at him hoping he would say whatever he was going to. I couldn't help but get lost in his eyes.
"I'll tell you what. How about we sleep in the same bed for tonight and if you don't feel comfortable then we can take turns sleeping on the sofa?" Not a bad idea.
"Go and get changed into something more comfortable." He instructed me.
"Hmmm, okay..." I wondered off to the draws. It took me a minute or so to find the right draw which held my pyjamas and a few tracksuits. I threw on a crop top and some tracksuit bottoms. God, it felt so much better than those jeans.
"Mi, what do you want from the Chinese?" Beau came in holding the home phone to his chest.
"Uh, I don't mind."
"Okay, I'll order a bit of everything." He wondered back off in the living room.
I'm bored. I'm bored. I'm bored. It feels like I have nothing to do here. I'm in a house with a stranger. God, this isn't right. An idea came to my mind. I followed Beau out of the bedroom to find him off the phone, sitting down on the sofa.
"Beau, have you got my phone?" I asked him.
"It got wrecked in the accident but I've had the sim transferred into this one." He fiddled around in his pockets before handing me an Iphone 4S.
"Thanks." I smiled before taking a seat on the black sofa next to him. I switched the mobile on and waited for everything to load. I had received 17 new texts from people I have never heard of before in my life.
"Beau, who are Jai, Luke, Daniel, James, Rosanna, Grace and Georgia? Also who is Gina?"
"Jai and Luke are my brothers, you are quite close with them. Daniel and James are our friends who you are also close too. Rosanna, Grace and Georgia are your best friends and Gina is my mum. Why?" Woah, a lot to take in.
"I've received a few texts from them, that's all." I shrugged.
"What do they say?" Beau bit his lip nervously.
"Asking how I am. I'll reply later though." I locked my phone.
My eyes soon started wondering around the room. I noticed there were a few pictures of Beau and I on the walls. I got up and walked towards them. There was one of him and I at the beach. I was on his back and we were both laughing. I saw another one of me kissing his cheek. We seemed pretty close or we are pretty close? I soon laid my eyes on one of me and him kissing. What the hell?
