“Beau! No! Put me down now!” I laughed as Beau swung me over his back running towards the ocean.
“Nope,” He chuckled.
“Beau, please. I don’t want to go in the water, I don’t want you throwing me in it either.” I pouted and sulked.
“You’re so dead when you let go of me.”
“Well I’m not letting go of you then.”
“Beau! Please!” I begged.
“Ready?” He asked.
“Ready for what?”
“Beau, don’t you dare!” I yelled.
“Beau Brooks put me down right now!” I demanded.
“If you insist,” He said simply before chucking me in the clear blue water. The cold hard water hit me like a ton of bricks. My eye sight went blurry as I was dunked in. I swam my way back up to the surface to find him grinning like an idiot.
“I hate you,” I spat.
“I love you too.” He said smiling.
“You owe me an ice cream.” I said swimming up to him.
“If I buy you one does that mean I’m forgiven?” He asked, his green eyes sparkling. I finally got up to where he was stood.
“Yes,” I said pecking his lips.
I could hear laughter and conversations around me and the waves crashing a shore. It was only a dream, yet it felt so real.
“Don’t do it Luke,” I heard Grace say sternly.
“Why not?” He whined.
“Because Beau will murder you and so will she.”
“But it’s only water, it won’t harm.” He laughed.
“Pour that water on me and I will fucking kill you.” I grumbled, opening my eyes, turning around to find him with a water bottle in his hand with a frown.
“See, Grace! You woke her up!” He moaned at Grace.
“I’m glad she did,” I yawned, stretching. “How long have I been out for?” I asked them.
“Like half hour.” Grace replied.
“How am I not burnt?” I asked referring to my back.
“Beau put sun cream on you.” Luke said, taking a gulp of his water. I couldn’t help but smile.
“Where are the others?” I asked, getting up and laying on my back so my stomach could get as tanned as my back was.
“Went to get food seeing as he haven’t had lunch.” Grace replied texting on her phone.
“We’re back bitches!” Jai yelled out with a McDonalds bag in his hand.
“Aw, sleeping beauty has woken.” Beau said chuckling, sitting down next to me.
“Shut up,” I grinned, flicking him.
“Are you hungry?” He asked me digging in the bag he carried.
“Starving,” My eyes lit up as he pulled out a Mc Chicken sandwich with fries. “Oh my god, I love you, you’re amazing.” I said with a smile plastered on my face. I looked up at Beau to find him grinning. I couldn’t help but think over the dream, if it meant anything. Was it a memory?
“You have to go in the water at some point today!” Beau moaned as I was finishing off my food, eating one of the last chips.
“No, I am fine on land.”
“Why don’t you want to go in?” Daniel asked, butting in in the conversation.
“Because you never know what’s in the ocean.” I told him wisely.
“But it’s only water,” He laughed.
“No, it is not only water, creatures live in that water. You never know if something will pull you down under.” I said eating the last of the chips.
“Oh stop moaning and go in.” Daniel tried to persuade me.
“No, I told you I” I was cut off by Beau lifting me up, swinging me over his shoulder.
“Beau! If you throw me in that water again I will murder you for real this time and an ice cream won’t fix it!” I threatened him; the words just came out of my mouth. I’m such an idiot. What if it never happened and was actually a dream.
Beau slowly put me down before we reached the water. I noticed his expression; he was confused, surprised and shocked.
“What how did you?” He said, shocked.
“I’m not sure,” I whispered. “Wait so it wasn’t just a dream?” I asked myself. “Can we go for a walk?” I asked him. He nodded his head immediately.
“How did you know?” Beau asked me, I’m guessing he meant the memory. We were walking along shore, walking away where everyone was sat. People were leaving the beach now so it was half full then it was earlier today.
“This may sound weird but I dreamt it,” I bit my lip at how weird it sounded. I looked up at him to see him grinning like crazy. “What?” I asked. We stopped walking. Beau turned around so he was facing me, I did the exact same so I was facing him.
“You’re getting your memory back.” He said, still grinning.
“I am, aren’t I?” I said smiling.
Beau didn’t say anything else after that and nor did I. We just stayed silent, looking at each other. He went to speak but closed his mouth again. He moved closer to me, filling in the gap in-between us. I looked down but he just tilted my head back up.
My breathing was getting heavy. He placed his hand on my cheek and started leaning in. I found myself doing the exact same thing.
“Please remember, Amelia.” He whispered leaning in more.
“Guys! Hurry up we’re going home!” Jai shouted towards us. Interrupting whatever was going on between Beau and I.
I heard Beau say a curse word but I pretended I didn’t hear him, I pulled away from him, and starting walking back to the others, pretending like nothing happened. This is so screwed up.
