“Shall I get more popcorn?” Tilly asked me.
“Yes please,” I smiled at her. My eyes were soon fixed again on the movie. We were all round Georgia’s watching ‘LOL’ I love this movie so much. It was 3 minutes away from finishing. Tilly soon came back with a big bowl of popcorn for me and her to share.
“So what shall we do now?” Grace asked.
“Shh, it hasn’t ended yet.” I told her, my eyes still not leaving the screen. After 30 seconds later it finished.
“Okay, now you can speak.” I smiled.
“What should we do?” Grace repeated herself.
“Hmmm,” I started thinking. “Prank calls?” I grinned.
“I like that idea!” Georgia called out.
“Who should we call first?” Tilly asked.
“I’m thinking one of the boys,” Rosanna suggested.
“But they know we’re all together it might be obvious.” I frowned.
“Worth a try,” Ro said grabbing her phone getting up her contact list. “Let’s call Daniel first,” She smirked. She put her phone on loud speaker so we could all hear and talk.
“Hello?” He answered. All of us girls just looked at each other waiting for someone to speak. We should have planned this through. “Hello?” He asked again getting impatient. I mouthed ‘hang up’ to Ro seeing as we were just sitting there like dummies. She soon hung up and we all let out a sigh.
“That was fucking brilliant,” I said. “We should really plan what we’re going to say,” I giggled.
“Who should we call now? We can’t ring him again.” Grace said.
“He just texted me asking if it was us who rang,” Ro said laughing a bit.
“What did you say?” I asked.
“That we are watching a movie and it weren’t us.” She replied.
“Right, okay, who’s going to speak then?” Tilly asked. “And who are we going to call now?”
“Jai said he’s with Beau and Luke so either of them? It would be quite fun.” Georgia suggested.
“Good idea, who’s speaking?” I asked.
“Shall I seeing as none of the boys except James have heard me talk properly or have had a long conversation with me?” Tilly recommended.
“Oooo, clever! Yup, let’s go with Tilly!” Grace said clapping her hands.
“So Luke, Jai or Beau?” I asked.
“Beau?” Georgia questioned. We all nodded our heads in agreement waiting for her to get the number up.
“What am I going to say?” Tilly asked a little panicked.
“Just say you’re named Alice.”
“What? why?” The girls asked in sync.
“Apparently that’s Beau’s girlfriend’s name but I think he is bullshitting about something so I want to see what he says.” I explained. They all gave me a strange look.
“No, I don’t think that’s a good idea. Just make a name up and pretend you hooked up with him the other night.” Grace said.
“No, please, I just want to know if Beau’s lying to me.” I frowned. They all gave me a sympathetic look.
“Okay, but just say your name is Alice don’t mention anything about a girlfriend.” Georgia told Tilly. Tilly nodded her head before picking up her phone. Georgia gave Tilly Beau’s number so Tilly could ring him using her phone.
“Do you think he’ll know it’s us though?” Rosanna asked worried, I couldn’t help but laugh.
“Even if he does guess it, it won’t be the end of the world, silly.” I told her.
“Guys, shh, it’s ringing.” Georgia told us to shut up, putting the phone on speaker and passing it to Tilly.
“Hello?” He picked up.
“Is this Beau?” Tilly asked putting on a squeaky voice.
“Uh, yeah, who’s this?” His voice was filled with confusion.
“It’s Alice.” Tilly replied.
“I don’t know anyone called Alice?” Is he kidding?
“But we hooked up the other night?” Tilly made up some random bullshit.
“I think you have the wrong number, sorry.”
“No, this is Beau Brooks right?”
“Look, I don’t know what you’re doing but I have a girlfriend and I love her to bits so just fuck off.” He then hung up. I felt tears build in my eyes. I’m being so silly, I need to stop. He isn’t even my boyfriend why am I acting like this?
“Well that went well,” I tried to break the silence in the rooms. I noticed all the girls had grins across their faces. “What’s so funny?”
“It’s just so cute how much he loves his girlfriend,” Georgia smiled happily.
“Yeah,” I grumbled. “But why did he tell me a name which he made up. I don’t get why he lied to me.” I let out a groan.
“He has a good reason,” I heard Rosanna say.
“What is it then?” I asked curiously.
“I don’t know,” She shrugged.
“Don’t lie to me too,” I moaned.
“He’ll tell you when it’s time.” Tilly smiled.
“I feel so lost.” I covered my face with my hands.
“It’ll get better soon, we promise.” I heard Georgia say.
